The Pokemon: The Sparkling of Terapagos anime features plenty of easter eggs that may point towards new features for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) video games! Read on to learn about these easter eggs, and what they could mean!
List of Contents
The episode opens with Lapras and its crew attacking the Brave Asagi, but the Rising Volt Tacklers manage to fend them off. Looking like an unwinnable fight, Lapras calls off the attack and its crew retreats back onto Wailord.
They then try to flee, but the Brave Asagi are still giving chase. When the ship spots a moment to catch up with them, Orla and Charizard send the engine into overdrive to quickly gain on them.
Noticing that the ship is quickly approaching, Lapras' crew try to attack it to throw them off. However, Ludlow and his Quagsire manage to dodge and deflect their attacks by creating a massive wave and skilfully manoeuvring the ship atop it.
As a last-ditch effort, Lapras swims up to the ship and uses an Ice Beam to freeze it in place. With the Brave Asagi now unable to move, Lapras and its crew finally manage to swim away and escape.
Noticing that the Pokemon have left a trail of crates behind them, Liko, Roy, and Friede ride on Charizard to follow the trail. They then find Lapras' hideout and make amends with its crew by offering more food for them to eat.
Once Lapras returns, Liko has a heart-to-heart with it saying that Terapagos and its former companions miss it and wish to reunite with it. Feeling moved, Lapras sings and creates a vision of Lucius that gives Terapagos more power.
The episode then ends with the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers catching up to them after the ship has been thawed out, and Murdock giving everyone doughnuts to enjoy. Liko then makes a final attempt to get Lapras to join her, and with the rest of Lapras' crew backing her up, it joins her after Ambipom gives back its Poke Ball.
With most of Lucius' team assembled, only the Black Rayquaza is left missing. As the team look up to the sky, it looks like Rayquaza managed to find them and is circling around overhead.
The second Terapagos Short shows Terapagos wandering around the ship at night and chaos ensues when Fuecoco accidentally falls on Snorunt, causing it to freeze the floor and making all the Pokemon slide around.
This makes Terapagos and Fuecoco knock into some crates, causing Oran Berries to fall all over the place. The short then ends with Roy and Pikachu finding all of the Pokemon enjoying a nice little feast in the hold of the ship.
The teaser for the next episode shows that Amethio has caught up to Rayquaza and losing a fight against it. Terapagos then takes on its Terastallized form to confront Rayquaza.
In episode 28, a man named Tepei was trying to sell an item to Roy called the 'Super Powerful Sleep Powder.' It is said that it can put any Pokemon on the field to sleep, even Grass-types like Foongus and Sprigatito who would normally be immune to the regular Sleep Powder.
This could be a new item introduced in the Indigo Disk DLC to make it easier for players to catch Pokemon who normally couldn't be put to sleep by Spore or Sleep Powder.
The Indigo Disk: DLC Part 2 Release Date and New Pokemon
In an episode of the new anime series Pokemon Horizons, a new and never-before-seen Pokemon was teased during the episode.
The unnamed Pokemon came out of Liko's pendant, the main protagonist of the new series. This Pokemon shares a similar appearance with Terapagos in that it has the same colour and body structure. It also looks like a younger, underdeveloped form of the upcoming Legendary Pokemon in The Indigo Disk DLC, which may hint at it being either a pre-evolution or a weaker, initial form of Terapagos.
Ability-wise, the Pokemon is able to spawn an energy shield made up of hexagons, which further ties it with Terapagos whose shell is also made up of hexagons. It may also be tied to the mysteries behind Terastallization, which are still yet to be fully revealed in the games.
With the reveal of Hatless Tera Rayquaza, this opens up possibilities for the games to feature new and different Tera forms, similar to Ogerpon. This new form could be information about the 19th Tera Type as both Rayquaza and Terapagos have been revealed to be owned by Lucius!
With variations to Terastallization, we could see all-new Tera Raid events in the future!
Shiny Tera Rayquaza in Pokemon Horizons: Hatless New Tera Form?
With the reveal of Hatless Tera Rayquaza, this opens up possibilities for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to feature new and different Tera types, outside of the forms we have already seen. This may work like how Dynamax was similar yet different to Gigantamax.
With variations to Terastallization, we could see all-new Tera Raid events in the future. This may lead to a new kind of Raid where legendary Pokemon will be available, similar to the Dynamax Adventures introduced in Sword and Shield!

The Rising Volt Tacklers have come face to face with yet another one of Lucius' Pokemon! This time, its the Singing Pokemon that can traverse the sea, Lapras!
A surprising twist, the airship Brave Asagi can also be used as a regular ship! After asking a few around, the Rising Volt Tackle crew have decided to travel trhough the sea to search for one of Lucius' Pokemon, Lapras.
After an encounter with Lapras, the crew notice that a few terrestrial Pokemon have stowed away on their ship!
Finding this odd, the crew decide to hatch a plan by using Captain Pikachu's Rising Volt Tackle to clear away the mist, which revealed the true intentions of the Pokemon.
The episode reveals that Lapras has found a new crew of Pokemon which it helps to gather food by creating a Mist in which they could hide and steal food from unaware ships.
After having its ploy and full body being revealed, it seems Lapras is just as tempramental as Lucius' other Pokemon! This Pokemon, unlike the others of Lucius' team, doesn't seem to carry around its an ancient-looking Poke Ball.
The first Terapagos Short has been released along with this episode! Here, we see Liko's Sprigatito and Terapagos playing around in the Brave Asagi!
A cute reference and trivia in this short is that if you leave two Pokemon from the same trainer in the daycare, the usual response from the Day Care Caretaker is that they do not seem to get along very well which seems like the case for these two initially.

Mysterious puddles of purple liquid have been appearing on the ship, as well as strange crashing noises during the night.
The source of all the mess turns out to be Polteageist! After exploring the ship, it eventually gets stuck onto Alolan Muk's back and gets dragged into the kitchen. This is where Polteageist witnesses Shuckle giving drinks to Dot and Quaxly, straight from its shell.
Marking Shuckle as its personal rival, Polteageist challenges Shuckle to a Pokemon battle. Unfortunately, Shuckle's Rollout was too hard to get through, and Polteageist couldn't even get a hit in.
Eventually, with encouragement from the other Pokemon watching the fight, the two decide to make peace and live harmoniously as fellow drink-making Pokemon. All the Pokemon on the ship witnessing the fight are treated to Berries and tea by Shuckle and Polteageist.

The group visits a Pokeball Factory to try and learn more about the Ancient Traveller's Pokeball. They are then greeted by a Pokeball Craftsman named Karna, however she knows nothing about it.
Roy tries out some experimental Pokeballs from the factory, including a Rocket Ball which flies straight ahead and fast, a Boomerang Ball which returns to the trainer after being thrown, a Bomb Ball which detonates on Roy, and a Tracker Ball which automatically homes in on a nearby Pokemon.
All the prototype Pokeballs are faulty however, especially the Tracker Ball which homes in on a nearby Galarian Weezing hiding behind a tree. It hits the Galarian Weezing, angering it, causing it to attack Roy.
After being bested by Orla's Metagross, the angry Galarian Weezing returns with its equally angry friends.
The group manages to defeat the group of Galarian Weezings with the help of Friede and his Pikachu.
Orio is then offered a job by Karna in the Pokeball Factory, however she declines the offer as she prefers the excitement and challenges that comes with being part of the Rising Volt Tacklers.

This episode opens up with Liko, Roy, and Friede looking for a man named Tepei who Diana said can tell them more about Rayquaza's Poke Ball. He says that he can't help them and places the Poke Ball in a bag for them as a sign of good faith.
In an unexpected twist, it turns out that he is working with the Explorers and stole the Poke Ball from Roy instead. After they open the bag to find a Foongus instead of the Ball, they run back to find the man but he is long gone.
The group split up with Friede, his Charizard, and Pikachu taking to the skies while Liko and Roy search on foot. As Tepei spots Friede flying up above, he hands the Poke Ball to his Lampent so that it can run off with his other Pokemon instead.
Liko and Roy spot Tepei's Pokemon, and they start to chase them down until they're led to a museum full of old artifacts. After they spot the Pokemon hiding amongst the relics, they fly out the window and the chase continues into a park.
Once they are cornered, Tepei's Bronzong and Honedge block off Roy so that their allies can escape. A fight ensues between Fuecoco and the two Pokemon, but it is swiftly beaten. Thankfully, Liko managed to catch up to the Lampent and her own battle begins.
Sprigatito can't get past the defensive tactics of Lampent and Bronzor, but thankfully Hatenna takes control of a shovel to cut off the pouch around Lampent's neck that is holding the Poke Ball. When things look like it is over, Tepei comes in to make one last stand after his Lampent swoops in to get the Ball back after Sprigatito is knocked down.
Roy catches up, and a final battle between the two sides is about to start. Unfortunately, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Wattrel are all put to sleep because of Foongus using the Super Powerful Sleep Powder on them. Thankfully, Friede's Pikachu finally catches up with them and knocks out all of Tepei's Pokemon to save the day.
After Tepei is beaten, Diana comes in to talk to him and says that he used to be an honourable man with good ambitions and she's disappointed with the person he has become. Regretting his choices in life, the man breaks down in tears and vows to change his ways.
The episode then ends with the man giving the group a lead on someone who might know more about Rayquaza's Poke Ball and points them to a woman who makes all kinds of Poke Balls for a living.

The episode opens with the Rising Volt Tacklers exploring Galar's Wild Area. After wandring around and finding some new Pokemon, they meet a Hiker who talks to them about how nice it is to set up camp and cook curry with your Pokemon.
Apparently, Dot has never had curry before, and so Liko and Roy tell the rest of the group that it is now their mission to cook curry with Dot and they all agree.
With the group set on making curry, Liko and Roy go out to look for ingredients they can use for their own recipes. Liko takes Dot with her to pick some Pecha Berries, while Roy runs into a Greedent and a pack of Skwovets trying to steal Cheri Berries from him.
A fight ensues between the pack and Fuecoco, but Quaxly swiftly comes in to put an end to the fight. After the dust settles, the group heads back to the camp to start cooking their curries. Once finished, all of the Rising Volt Tacklers sit down and share a wonderful meal together.
A meeting is held between the Explorers to talk the Pokemon from Lucius' team and what they should do about them.
Amethio says that they can't keep on chasing the Rising Volt Tacklers and Terapagos and that they should go after the Shiny Rayquaza since it may be the key to get the other Pokemon to appear.
As the group packs up and leave the campsite, Liko and Dot have a talk about what it means to be friends and how it is nice to have fun doing something together.
After they board the Brave Asagi, Roy sits down to talk to everyone about how the should continue on their search for the Shiny Rayquaza.
The next episodes features the group trying to get back Rayquaza's Pokeball from an appraiser who stole it from Roy.

The episode opens up with the Rising Volt Tacklers having a meal with their Pokemon aboard the Brave Asagi. Terapagos then wanders off and leads Liko around on a chase as it explores the different areas of the ship.
Liko is playing catchup with Terapagos as it explores the different areas of the Brave Asagi and looks at what each member of the group is getting up to. Later on, she loses sight of it and tries to ask her Sprigatito where it went, but it ignores her. Eventually, her Hatenna senses where it is and leads her to the bow of the ship where it is sitting and yelling into the horizon.
Terapagos' little adventure comes to an end as Liko saves it from nearly falling off. As she reaches out to save Terapagos, she nearly falls off the ship as well. Thankfully, she is saved by Diana and her Arcanine as they swoop in to save her after she was notified by Sprigatito.
Liko sits down with Diana to discuss why Terapagos is wandering around the ship and why it was crying out on the top of the bow. It turns out that Terapagos misses its old trainer and his travelling companions.
After talking some more about the rest of Lucius' old team and asking why Sprigatito is ignoring her, Diana gives Liko Lucius' old belt. However, she removes it and runs off to find her Sprigatito to apologize for ignoring it and giving too much of her attention to Terapagos.
After the two reconcile, they meet with the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers to ask them to help them find the rest of Terapagos' old friends. They all agree and tell them that they will always stick with their friends.
The episode then ends with the Brave Asagi flying off into the sunset with the Explorers tracking them down with their submarine.
