Only Pokemon with access to Pyro Ball, a 120 BP Physical Fire move with little drawback. Pretty easy to build since it doesn't need its Hidden Ability. Can boost itself with Sunny Day and Swords Dance. |
The best ability for Infernape in Tera Raid Battles is Blaze, this will boost the damage of your Fire-type moves when your HP goes low.
We also recommend getting a Cinderace with a Fire Tera type to boost the power of your Fire-Type moves. As a Physical Attacker, Adamant nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Give it a Shell Bell to help Cinderace recover HP when dealing damage.
Cinderace Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Sunny Day to set up Sun. |
Turns 2-4 | Use Swords Dance to max out your attack. |
Turns 5-7 | Use Pyro Ball to attack and build up Tera Orb charge. |
When Sun Runs Out | Use Sunny Day to bring back Sun. |
Turns 7+ | Once you have enough Tera Orb charges, Terastallize and use Tera Blast or keep using Pyro Ball until the Raid ends. |
Start the Raid by using Swords Dance to buff Cinderace's Attack. Use Sunny Day to set the Sun up.
Use Pyro Ball to build up Tera Orb charge and once Terastallized, Cinderace can also use Tera Blast to finish off the opponent.

This Cinderace Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Bug, Ice and Steel Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Grass, or Water type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Cinderace will be weak to these Types.

Shell Bell |
The best Ability for Cinderace in Tera Raid Battles is Blaze, which gives it a 50% boost to its Fire-type moves when the user's HP is below 1/3 its max..
We also recommend getting a Cinderace with an Electric Tera Type to give it great neutral coverage with combined Fire and Electric-type STAB. Since it's a Physical Attacker, a Jolly nature is best to boost its Speed.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability and dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Attack, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Shell Bell allows it to recover some HP while still attacking.
Cinderace Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Swords Dance to boost Attack. |
Turns 2~3 | Use Swords Dance to boost Cinderace's Attack further, and attack with Pyro Ball the next turn. |
Turns 4+ |
Terastallize and use Electric-type Tera Blast. |
Start the Tera Raid battle by using Swords Dance to boost Cinderace's Attack. Two boosts are often enough to one-shot most 6-Star Raid Pokemon weak to Fire-types with Pyro Ball and heavily damage Rock and Dark-types with Low Sweep while lowering their Speed.
Once you have enough charge to Terastallize, use Electric-type Tera Blast. Fire and Electric STAB gives Cinderace near-perfect physical coverage, making it a great choice to use against most Tera Raids.

Water tera type would be better because it doesn't become weak to ground still, and can hit grass for super effective damage with fire type attacks
