Excels in Co-Op Raid where it can copy an Ally Pokemon's type for STAB and Resistance. Great user for Stellar Tera Type with it being able to learn any TM. Can pivot into a support role with Acid Spray and Life Dew. |
With the introduction of the Stellar Tera Type, Mew has found itself to be one the best Pokemon to use for any Tera Raid.
Mew's access to Reflect Type allows it to change its type to that of its ally, this lets it gain STAB, Super Effective damage, and the innate boost from being Stellar Tera type.
We also recommend getting Mew the Stellar Tera Type to make its chosen STAB Move a more potent attacking move. As a Special Attacker, an Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Letting Mew hold a Shell Bell will allow it to stay in battle a little longer as it can heal a little HP per turn.
Mew Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Reflect Type on an ally so you can gain their resistances and STAB for the Raid. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Acid Spray to lower the Raid Boss' Sp.Def and build up Tera Orb Charges. |
Turn 5 | Use your chosen Support Move. If it's Nasty Plot you can allot a few turns to set up. |
Turns 6+ | Terastallize and use your chosen STAB Move until the Raid Boss is defeated. Feel free to set any buffs or debuffs you might have lost. |
Start Tera Raid battles by using Acid Spray three times to lower the Raid Boss to -6 Sp.Def. Depending on the damage you sustained during your setup, you can attack with your chosen STAB Move.
You can opt to use your Supporting Move like setting Weather or Terrain or just use Nasty Plot instead.
Super Effective Damage Dealt by Mew |
|
---|---|
Psychic (+6 Sp.Atk, Psychic Terrain, Stellar Tera) 7,544 ~ 8,876 (99.2 ~ 116.7%) |
These calculations were done using our Tera Raid Damage Calculator
Due to its Stellar Typing, this Mew Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to almost any Tera Raid Boss. If the Tera Raid Boss is known for its Special Bulk (like Blissey), perhaps consider a different Pokemon, as Mew will be ineffective to these Types as a Stellar Type special attacker.

The best ability for Mew in Tera Raid Battles is Synchronize. This is Mew's only Ability and causes the opposing Pokemon to also by afflicted with the same status condition it deals to Mew.
As Mew will either be supporting through Healing, Helping Hand and giving beneficial Abilities, or Transforming into a stronger ally, its Tera Type does not matter too much. We recommend leaving Mew as a Psychic Tera Type for this reason. As a Support Pokemon (prior to Transforming), a Calm nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid Support EV spreads should lean towards bulk. Max out your HP EVs, while splitting the remaining EVs evenly between Special Defense and Defense. Give Mew a Shell Bell for passive recovery while you deal damage.
Mew Tera Raid Situational Strategies | |
---|---|
Ability Gifter/ Disrupter | If the Raid Boss or an ally has an Ability that would be useful for another Ally, Mew can grant that Ability to an Ally by Skill Swapping to it. |
Allies Moves Supporter | If Mew is functioning as a Healer/Ability Gifter and would prefer not to Transform, it can still boost its Allies Damage Output instead with Helping Hand! |
Team Healer | On turns where the team is low on HP, Mew can replenish 25% of their HP with Life Dew. |
Transform and Attack! | When you join a Raid, you can Transform into the most useful Ally and function as an Attacker! Terastallize once your Tera Orb is charged. |
In this Build, Mew functions as both a Healer and an Attacker (once Transformed).
On turns where the team is low on HP, heal them with Life Dew, restoring 25% of all players' Pokemon's HP.
You can also help supplement your allies' damage by using Helping Hand or deal damage yourself by using Transform on an ally Pokemon to deal more damage.

Elemental Plate |
The best ability for Mew in Tera Raid Battles is Synchronize. This is Mew's only Ability and causes the opposing Pokemon to also by afflicted with the same status condition it deals to Mew.
A variation on the support Mew build, this set relies on having a partner Arceus. Therefore you need to give mew a Tera Type that matches the Plate it is holding.
This kit relies on the move Transform, so every stat the partner Arceus has, Mew will just copy it so there's no need for an offensive Nature. Go with a more defensive Nature like Calm, so you are able to tank hits before you eventually Transform into Arceus.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid Support EV spreads should lean towards bulk. Max out your HP EVs, while splitting the remaining EVs evenly between Special Defense and Defense. This allows Mew to tank hits before Transforming into the partnered Arceus.
Give Mew the respective Elemental Plate your Raid partner has on their Mew to change Judgment's type into the correct one.

Turn 1 | Use Reflect Type to change your type in order to better resist the moves your opponent deals. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Acid Spray to shred the Raid Boss' Sp. Def to -6 and build Tera Orb Charges. |
Low HP Turns | Use Life Dew to heal up any damage the party takes. |
Turns 5+ | Use Acid Spray if your debuffs get reset or Tera Orb charges gets taken. Use Transform and Terastallize once your Tera Orb is charged. |
In this Build, Mew functions as both a Healer and an Attacker (once Transformed into Arceus).
Start off the battle with using Reflect Type on an ally to copy their resistances to the raid boss' attacks. The use Acid Spray to help the Arceus deal more damage while you're both building up Tera Orb Charges.
On turns where the team is low on HP, heal them with Life Dew, restoring 25% of all players' Pokemon's HP.
Once the raid boss is sufficiently debuffed and you have enough Tera Orb charges, use Transform while terastallizing to finish off the boss.

The best ability for Mew in Tera Raid Battles is Synchronize. This is Mew's only Ability and causes the opposing Pokemon to also by afflicted with the same status condition it deals to Mew. Transforming will also change Mew's ability so it doesn't matter in the long run.
This Mew uses a hybrid special damage buffing build, where it can shred the opponent's Sp. Def while it can also deal good damage itself. We recommend leaving Mew as a Psychic Tera Type for this reason. As a Special Attacker (prior to Transforming), a Modest nature would be best.

Opponent is Dark, Steel, or Psychic-type | Turns 4+ | Terastallize and Transform into an ally that has buffed itself up and has a moveset that you know could benefit the raid. |
In this Build, Mew functions as both a Support and an Attacker.
Start off the battle with using Acid Spray three times to fully shred the opponent's Sp. Def. The next moves you do will depend on the Raid Boss you are facing.
When the raid boss is neutral or Weak to Psychic, max out your Sp. Atk with Nasty Plot and proceed to attack using Stored Power to deal massive damage.
When the raid boss is immune or resists Psychic, Transform into an ally with a better moveset to pivot into a better position. Be aware that Transform only gives you 5 PP for each move, so be sure to transform into an ally you know has more then one attacking move.

With access to the move Reflect Type and being able to learn every TM available, Mew can be built to freely change types to counter Raid Pokemon, either offensively or defensively.
For a Specially Offensive Mew build, Nasty Plot and Acid Spray are the main moves used to make any STAB Move effective as a general attacker, but can be slightly modified to be more specialized in a particular type.
By default, Mew has a Psychic Tera type, but in order to maximize your damage output, match Mew's Tera Type with the type needed. As a Special Attacker, Modest nature would be best.

The best ability for Mew in Tera Raid Battles is Synchronize. This is Mew's only Ability and causes the opposing Pokemon to also by afflicted with the same status condition it deals to Mew.
A Fighting Tera Type in conjunction with a Metronome held item, allows Mew to have great damage output combined with healing with consecutive Drain Punches.
As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Attack. Max out your HP, and Atk EVs, while putting the remaining points into Defense. This allows Mew to have decent bulk, while still having high offense.
Give Mew a Metronome to boost the damage output of Drain Punch by 10% each time it is used consecutively!

With access to the move Reflect Type and being able to learn every TM available, Mew can be built to freely change types to counter Raid Pokemon, either offensively or defensively.
For a Physically Offensive Mew build, Swords Dance is the main move used to make any STAB Move effective as a general attacker, but can be slightly modified to be more specialized in a particular type.
By default, Mew has a Psychic Tera type, but in order to maximize your damage output, match Mew's Tera Type with the type needed. As a Physical Attacker, Adamant nature would be best.

How to Make Best Mew Tera Raid Build |
---|
|
Speak to the madame in the flower field on the southwest end of Floaroma Town and she'll give you Mew if you have a save data for either Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu or Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee.
A free Mew can be obtained if you purchase the Poke Ball Plus Accessory. Just connect your copy of Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu, Let's Go Eevee, Sword, or Shield via Internet and you can recieve your Level 1 Mew via Mystery Gift!
By Completing the Research Task, A Mythical Discovery you can obtain a special Mew in Pokemon GO. Research tasks are special missions in Pokemon GO that offers rewards for Trainers who complete various task objectives.
Note that you need to have a Mew caught from a main series game to be able to transfer one caught from Pokemon GO.
How to Transfer Pokemon from Pokemon HOME
If the Mew build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
If it has a different nature, you can use Mints to change its nature to to your preferred nature.
The easiest way to get this is by buying them from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
