Several abilities are expected to return in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)'s DLCs: The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk along with the Pokemon they are associated with. Read on to learn more about these abilities and their effects.

Abilities Returning in The Indigo Disk
| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
| Download | Effect: The user increases either it's Attack or Special Attack stat depending on what would be more effective against the opponent. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Full Metal Body | Effect: The user prevents other Pokemon moves or abilities from lowering the user's stats. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Liquid Voice | Effect: The user's sound based moves become Water-type moves. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Motor Drive | Effect: If the user is hit by an Electric-type move, it takes no damage and increases its Speed by one stage instead. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Prism Armor | Effect: Reduces the damage taken by the user from Super Effective moves by 25%. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Shadow Shield | Effect: Reduces the damage taken by the user while its HP is full by 50%. This ability is unaffected by moves or abilities that ignore this ability's effect. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Shields Down | Effect: The user changes into its Core Form when its HP drops below 50%, until then the user is protected from status conditions. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Stalwart | Effect: The user ignores abilities and moves that changes the target of moves. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Suction Cups | Effect: The user negates moves that forces it to switch out. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Teravolt | Effect: The user can use moves on the opponent regardless of the opponent's Abilities. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Triage | Effect: Healing moves used by the user gets a +3 in Speed Priority. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Turboblaze | Effect: The user can use moves on the opponent regardless of the opponent's Abilities. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Water Bubble | Effect: Decreases the damage taken from Fire-type moves by 50% and increases the damage of Water-type moves by 100% before adding STAB. The user can't get burned. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
Abilities Returning in The Teal Mask
| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
| Bad Dreams | Effect: Reduces the HP of a sleeping opponent. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Battery | Effect: Increases the Special Attack power of allies by 30%. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Galvanize | Effect: Increases the damage of Normal-type moves by 20% and turns them into Electric type instead. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Gulp Missile | Effect: Upon using Surf or Dive, the user changes into the Gulping Form or Gorging Form depending on remaining HP. Upon receiving damage in these forms, the user then deals damage equal to 25% of the opponent's max HP and lowers their Def by 1 stage if Gulping Form, or paralyzes the opponent if Gorging Form. | Hunger Switch | Effect: The user changes form between its Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode after each turn ends. Pokemon With This Ability:

| Illuminate | Effect: Increases the chance of encountering wild Pokemon. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Magic Guard | Effect: Protects the user from all sources of damage except direct attacks. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Misty Surge | Effect: The user applies Misty Terrain to the battlefield for five turns when it enters a battle. Pokemon With This Ability: 
|
| Neutralizing Gas | Effect: The user negates effects of the abilities from other Pokemon when on the battlefield. Pokemon With This Ability:
