Since the patch of Version 1.3.2 was announced to adjust mechanics for upcoming live tournaments, the patch update strangely has not updated the Hisuian Move's descriptions to match their in-game effects
1.3.2 Live Tournament Patch Update
Hisuian Move Descriptions | ||
---|---|---|
Move | Pokemon | Description |
Ceaseless Edge | Hisuian Samurott | The user slashes its shell blade at the target, aiming to land a critical hit. Shell splinters left behind by this attack remain scattered under the target as spikes |
Dire Claw | Sneasler | The user lashes out at the target with ruinous claws, aiming to land a critical hit. This may also leave the target poisoned, paralyzed, or asleep. |
Stone Axe | Kleavor | The user swings its stone axes at the target, aiming to land a critical hit. Stone splinters left behind by this attack float around the target. |
All 3 of the Hisuian Moves that will be updated have the innaccurate part of the description highlighted red!
Three of the new moves from Pokemon Legends Arceus for Hisuian Samurott, Sneasler and Kleavor have misleading descriptions. Unlike in Pokemon Legends Arceus, In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet these 3 moves do not have an increased critical-hit ratio, despite the description indicating the contrary. These descriptions will be updated in the next patch update, likely before Regulation D of Ranked Battle begins on July 1, 2023.
Ceaseless Edge is a 65 Base Power, 90 Accuracy Dark Type move that also sets Spikes. It is the signature move of Hisuian Samurott. In Pokemon Legends Arceus it had an increased chance of landing a critical hit, however this is no longer the case in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Its description will be updated in the next patch update.
Ceaseless Edge Effect and Pokemon That Learn It
Dire Claw is an 80 Base Power, 100 Accuracy Poison Type move that also has a chance to leave the opponent with a Poison, Paralyze or Sleep Status condition. It is the signature move of Sneasler. In Pokemon Legends Arceus it had an increased chance of landing a critical hit, however this is no longer the case in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Its description will be updated in the next patch update.
Dire Claw Effect and Pokemon That Learn It
Stone Axe is a 65 Base Power, 90 Accuracy Rock Type move that also sets Stealth Rocks. It is the signature move of Kleavor. In Pokemon Legends Arceus it had an increased chance of landing a critical hit, however this is no longer the case in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Its description will be updated in the next patch update.
Stone Axe Effect and Pokemon That Learn It
As of writing, no date or time has been announced for this patch. It has been confirmed to be coming in time for Regulation D, however so it should be released within the next 2 weeks! We will update this post as soon as new information becomes available.
