This team makes use of multiple bulky attackers to tank hits while still being able to deal big damage in return. Prioritize on getting favourable matchups in a battle by switching in Pokemon that resist your opponent's attacks.
Nature | Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | HP 252 / Atk 252 / Sp. Def 4 |
Final Stat Values | HP 195 / Atk 198 / Def 135 / Sp. Def 107 / Spe 100 |
Ability | Toxic Chain |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Assault Vest |
Moveset | ・
Poison Jab
・ Stomping Tantrum ・ Knock Off ・ Drain Punch |
Okidogi already has naturally good defensive stats, which combined with an Assault Vest, makes it a difficult Pokemon to remove from battle.
The reason Toxic Chain is used over Guard Dog is the extra chance to Poison the opponent when using more utility focused moves like Knock Off and Drain Punch.

Ability | Technician |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Sitrus Berry |
Moveset | ・
Dual Wingbeat
・ U-turn ・ Bullet Punch ・ Swords Dance |
Scizor is built to be bulkier than normal in order to survive hits better while setting up a Swords Dance boost and to maximize the healing from its Sitrus Berry.
Its STAB +1 priority Bullet Punch, which can be further boosted by Terastallizing to Steel, and its Technician-boosted Dual Wingbeat make it a great threat to a lot of the common Pokemon in the Singles metagame.

EV Spread | HP 252 / 4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk |

Ability | Flash Fire |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Leftovers |
Moveset | ・
Flash Cannon
・ Earth Power ・ Magma Storm ・ Tera Blast |
Heatran is already a naturally bulky Pokemon thanks to its stats and typing, so we gave it the Leftovers item and maxed out its HP to give it as much passive healing as possible.
Magma Storm is an amazing move that damages the target for a percentage of its total health each turn as well as trapping them, making them unable to switch out. This heavily punishes any Pokemon that has a bad match-up into Heatran.

EV Spread | HP 220 / Sp. Atk 36 / Spe 252 |

Ability | Levitate |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Choice Scarf |
Moveset | ・
Hydro Pump
・ Trick ・ Volt Switch ・ Thunderbolt |
Rotom Wash has incredible bulk thanks to its base stats and typing. Because of its ability Levitate, its only weakness is to Grass-type attacks.
Its bulk is further increased when it Terastallizes into Steel. While it is a Steel-type, it gains a lot of resistances with its only weaknesses now being Fighting and Fire.

Ability | Multiscale |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Rocky Helmet |
Moveset | ・
Roost
・ Encore ・ Extreme Speed ・ Earthquake |
Dragonite can pressure knock outs with Earthquake and Tera Normal Extreme Speed, especially after chip damage from Rocky Helmet.
It can also use support moves like Encore against hazard setters and setup Pokemon to make them useless. Roost can be used to restore Dragonite's health and reactivate Multiscale.

Ability | Sturdy |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Cornerstone Mask |
Moveset | ・
Ivy Cudgel
・ Horn Leech ・ U-turn ・ Lash Out |
Cornerstone Ogerpon is the only Ogerpon form that can easily deal with opposing Flying-types such as Dragonite. It can also deal super-effective damage to the more common Hearthflame Ogerpon.
It is difficult to quickly knock out thanks to its ability Sturdy. Upon Terastallization, Ogerpon's Embody Aspect ability gives it a Defense boost, adding to its bulk.
It has the move Lash Out to catch any Intimidate users off-guard. If you predict a Gyarados to switch in, for example, then you can get an easy surprise knockout.

Recommended Team Core | |
---|---|
Okidogi |
Ogerpon (Cornerstone Mask) |
The two new Pokemon from the Teal Mask DLC are the highlights of this team and perform consistently well against other teams. You may be inclined to bring both of them to most games.
Both are bulky Pokemon that can also deal significant damage. They have a wide array of coverage moves between the two of them that can cover most match-ups. They also synergize well defensively, with them having no common weakness.
Recommended for Type Coverage | |
---|---|
Heatran |
Wash Rotom |
In addition to Okidogi and Ogerpon, you may want to bring one of these Pokemon to round out your team of three.
Heatran provides additional Fire and Steel-type moves and an immunity to opposing Fire-type moves. Rotom Wash provides valuable Water and Electric-type move coverage and an immunity to Ground-type moves.
Choose whichever Pokemon has a better type match-up against your opponent's team.
Strong Pokemon with Priority | |
---|---|
Dragonite |
Scizor |
If you're having a difficult time choosing the right Pokemon for a type advantage or are worried about incredibly fast Pokemon from your opponent, Dragonite and Scizor may be more ideal picks.
Dragonite is very bulky and can switch into most attacks. With Extreme Speed, it can also deal a lot of damage while moving first, especially when it is Terastallized.
Scizor is good to use against fast Flutter Mane because of its priority Bullet Punch. It can also set up a Swords Dance to further boost the power of its Physical Attacks, strenghtening its priority move.
