Several players and news sites were able to get a hands-on preview of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's The Indigo Disk DLC. Read on for new details and features that you can expect when playing through The Indigo Disk!

Double battles are the norm for trainers, including the BB League Elite Four, studying in the Blueberry Academy. Youtuber PhillyBeatzU mentioned in a video that players should expect harder battles as most NPCs will be using VGC strategies like Trick Room, setting up hazards like Stealth Rock, and the like.
Nekkra shared in a video that even Carmine's team poses some challenge, different from how she was during The Teal Mask.
Double battles are notably near absent in the base game, with only the Ghost Gym Trial and Ryme's Gym Battle offering this kind of match in the entire story.
Dexerto in an article shared a sneak peak of the BB League Elite Four in The Indigo Disk.
Amarys first will require players to participate in her Elite Trial, a short activity reminiscent of Gym Tests in Paldea. For Amarys, players need to ride on a flying Koraidon or Miraidon and pass through hoops.
What waits in the end though, is a very challenging battle against Amarys who has a team similar to what are used in competitive battles, complete with thought out Pokemon, moves, and held items.
According to Serebii, new moves will be added in the game along side previously-announced ones like Upper Hand, and several old moves from previous games will be available as new TMs in the expansion.
New moves such as Supercharged Cell and Hard Press will be added in the game as TMs. On the other hand, the likes of Expanding Force, Triple Axel, and Scorching Sands and other older moves will also be added in the game as new TMs.

Every starter Pokemon in the series have been confirmed to appear in The Indigo Disk as catchable Pokemon in the wild, but PhillyBeatzU mentioned that starters will not be encountered in the wild right off the bat and that players will need to figure out how to unlock them.
Like what was shown in previous trailers, Alolan Exeggutor is one of the Pokemon you can encounter in the Terarium. What makes it unique is that it is a regional form of Exeggutor that is available in the wild.
PhillyBeatzU shared that he has seen Alolan Grimer during the hands-on preview, and it is likely that other regional form Pokemon may appear in the DLC.
ComicBook in their article shared that just line in Naranja or Uva Academy, you can also take classes in Blueberry Academy, with each biome having their own class. These classes resemble side quests you can do while playing through The Indigo Disk.
Shiny Catherine in a video has shared that players' Blueberry Academy uniform will have different seasonal styles.
This is similar to the other set of uniforms you can get in the game, with an available style for spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
Several players and news sites were invited by Nintendo to get a short preview of The Indigo Disk, which is set to release on December 14, 2023.
They were able to check out the Terarium, the DLC's main area, and encounter returning Pokemon that are set to appear in The Indigo Disk.
They were also given a chance to meet Amarys, who is one of the BB League Elite Four, do her Elite Trial, and even battle her.
