Moves Breakdown

Dragon Energy Draco Meteor
Tera Blast Protect

Dragon Energy Is a powerful Dragon-type Attack that Regidrago has. While powerful, this is best utilized for dealing about half damage to most foes. Teammates that can deal around that much damage are also good for Regidrago to have, thus making Regidrago a good slot-in for offensive teams.

Draco Meteor is a good option for burst damage when Regidrago's HP has gone low, and the power of Dragon Energy has lessened.

Tera Blast and a Steel Tera can help take out Fairy-types like Flutter Mane.

Protect can keep Regidrago healthy on turns where it is in danger of getting targeted down.

Best Tera Type: Steel

Pokemon Poison Type Icon

Steel is the best Tera Type for this build as it can give Regidrago plenty of resistances, most notably to Fairy. This also gives it access to a Steel-type Tera Blast.

EV Spread Explanation

Regidrago's EV spread for this build leans on making it a fast Special Attacker with 252 Special Attack and 252 Speed EVs. 4 EVs are put into its HP to round out its bulk.

Other Viable Moves

Earth Power Earth Power is a strong coverage move to have, as Ground can hit most types for neutral or super-effective damage.
Sludge Bomb Sludge Bomb can threaten Fairy-types without having to commit to Terastallization.

How to Use Regidrago Effectively

Keep Regidrago Healthy

Regidrago's signature move, Dragon Energy relies on Regidrago's health points for its damage output. So it is important to keep Regidrago healthy at all times. Speed Control can always help it attack first, and hopefully KO foes before they get to target Regidrago.

How to Build a Team with Regidrago

Regidrago is best with teammates that can provide Speed Control or Redirection. This is because HP is Regidrago's most important resource, as it depends on HP for its damage output.

Additionally, teammates with good offense are great to have, as Dragon Energy can reliably and consistently deal about 50% damage to most opponents, allowing Regidrago's teammate to take them out with ease.

Amoonguss ImageAmoonguss Gholdengo ImageGholdengo

Tornadus can assist Regidrago by providing Tailwind support, allowing Regidrago to attack sooner and stay healthy so that Dragon Energy always deals max damage.

Amoonguss can redirect damage away from Regidrago with Rage Powder, and Gholdengo can threaten Fairy-types. Gholdengo can also benefit from Tornadus's Tailwind.

Counters for Regidrago

Wall Regidrago with Fairy-Types

Fairy-types are immune to Regidrago's powerful Dragon-type STAB options, making them perfect counters to it. However, Regidrago can anticipate this and Steel Tera Blast.
