Revival Blessing
・ Close Combat ・ Mach Punch ・ Double Shock |
The goal of this build is to make Pawmot as fast as possible to get off Revival Blessing and revive your fallen carry, while at the same time being tanky enough to tank hits while you're on the field. The EV Spread for this build allows Pawmot to outspeed any Jolly nature Pokemon with a base Speed of 100 and 252 EVs or lower. The Defense and HP EVs allows Pawmot to survive an Earthquake from Pokemon like Gyarados and Dragonite, as well as neutral STAB damage from most Pokemon.

Close Combat
・ Double Shock ・ Volt Switch ・ Ice Punch |
This build capitalizes on Pawmot not losing its Electric typing when Terastallized to continously use Double Shock, a move that you can typically only use once because you lose your electric typing. Double Shock has a base power of 120, and you gain 50% STAB from Pawmot's Electric type, an additional 50% from Tera STAB, and another 50% boost from Choice Band, bringing your total to 300 base damage, on top of a 100 accuracy move.

Moveset | ・
Close Combat
・ Double Shock ・ Revival Blessing ・ Fake Out |
Pawmot can apply ample offensive pressure, being able to outspeed Base 104 and slower Pokemon, most notably Garchomp and Hydreigon who Pawmot handily outspeeds.
Close Combat and Double Shock are Pawmot's main STAB options, wih Double Shock having the drawback of being usable only once. This is circumvented by Terastallizing Pawmot, which allows you to use Double Shock without losing Pawmot's typing.
Fake Out is a great move for breaking Focus Sashes and enabling teammates to use their set up Moves.
While this Pawmot set is not reliant on Revival Blessing, it is still too powerful a move to leave out, earning it a slot in our moveset.
Protect | Protect lets Pawmot scout for moves, or invalidate opposing Fake Out from faster Pokemon like Weavile. |

Revival Blessing is a 1 PP move that revives a knocked out ally with half of its HP. Having this option can turn the tide in your favor by giving carries like Gholdengo or Garchomp a second chance to sweep the enemy team.
Double Charge is a very powerful move that has a drawback. Typically, after using it, you lose your Electric type with it, rendering you unable to use it in rapid succession. Terastallizing Pawmot into an Electric type removes this drawback since you can not lose your Tera type.
Pawmot's two builds revolve around the fact that Pawmot shines during the Late Game, either to sweep the entire enemy team, or to bring back a knocked out carry to turn the tide.
Tanky Lead | Physical Sweeper | Late Game Support |

Gholdengo | Garchomp | Pawmot |
Physical Tank | Bulky Pivot | Late Game Sweeper |
---|---|---|
Corviknight | Wash Rotom | Pawmot |
Physical Attacker | Special Attacker |

Pawmot | Cyclizar |
Physical Attacker | Special Attacker |
Garchomp | Gholdengo |
Pawmot can use Fake Out on Pokemon quicker than Cyclizar, or on Pokemon like Murkrow who would want to set up Tailwind. Cyclizar can outspeed unsuspecting Garchomp and Hydreigon and KO with Draco Meteor.
Cyclizar can also use Shed Tail and pass on a substitute to powerful sweepers in the back.
Pawmot's Revival Blessing and Double Shock are very strong in their own rights, but it doesn't mean that it's foolproof. You can nullify Double Shock by using Ground type Pokemon, and Revival Blessing can be countered by hitting Pawmot with Taunt.
