The best spot to hunt a Shiny Scream Tail is at Area Zero Research Station 4.

Fly to Zero Gate and Make a Sparkling Power Sandwich

Fly to the Zero Gate and turn off auto-save. Save your game and create a Sandwich with Sparkling Power: Fairy and Encounter Power: Fairy.

Once you reached the Zero Gate, Go to Research Station 4 and ride down to the very bottom level, in front of the entrance where you saw the second Koraidon or Miraidon during The Way Home questline. Thanks to the Sparkling Sandwich you made, plenty of Scream Tail will then start spawning in the area.

Unable to Set Up Picnic for Respawning

Since you cannot set up a picnic at the lowest level of Research Area 4, the best way to find a shiny Scream Tail is to roam around the the area in order to find a Shiny Scream Tail.

Note: A specific type of sandwich will help you spawn only 1 kind of Paradox pokemon for this method. Fighting type Shiny Sandwich will only spawn Great Tusk, Ghost type will only spawn Flutter Mane, Grass type will only spawn Brute Bonnet, and Fairy Type will only spawn Scream Tail.

Shiny Scream Tail is Pink with Darker Pink tail Instead of Pink with Salmon Pink tail

Both Scream Tail type have Pink as their body color but the main difference is the color of their tail and the color of their eyes. Instead of a salmon pink tail and gold eyes, a shiny Scream Tail will have a darker pink tail and red eyes. Because of the subtleness of the difference, make sure to watch out as you try to catch it!

Before you start shiny hunting, make sure that you have a good catcher Pokemon first. We recommend getting a Persian, Breloom, or a Gallade since these Pokemon have access to False Swipe and a status move.

Stock Up on Poke Balls

Make sure that you stock up on Poke Balls as well! There are many kinds of Poke Balls that you can use and some of them work better on certain times of day or on certain types of Pokemon.

Use Quick Ball at the start of the encounter to further increase your chances of catching the Shiny Pokemon! If the Quick Ball did not work, use Dusk Ball since it works effectively in dark places like caves.

Next, you need to turn off Auto-Save so you'll have full control of when to save and reload the game. With this, you can save just before an important event and reload the game if you didn't get a favorable outcome.

Once you have all the ingredients, save your game and set up a picnic. Interact with the table and create the Shiny sandwich in "Creative Mode". From this point forward in the shiny hunting process, you are not to save your game anymore. This is to ensure that the Herba Mystica you used for your sandwich won't be put to waste in case you didn't get a Shiny Scream Tail.

Unlike in Legends Arceus, Shiny Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet do not sparkle nor make a sound so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Save the Game When You See a Shiny Scream Tail

If you see a Shiny Scream Tail, save your game before trying to catch it. This is so you can reload the game at the moment you saw the Shiny Pokemon in case you accidentally kill it.

Reload the Game If You Didn't Find a Shiny Scream Tail

If you weren't able to find the Shiny Pokemon within 30 minutes, reload the game so it takes you back to the time before you made your sandwich. Repeat the process all over again untl you find a Shiny Scream Tail!
