This is a hyper offense team full of strong special and physical attackers. When using this team, it's best to prioritize choosing Pokemon that have a good type match-up against the Pokemon on your opponent's team.
Nature | Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 36 Def / 116 Sp. Atk /100 Sp. Def / 4 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 195 HP / 91 Def / 181 Sp. Atk / 123 Sp. Def / 127 Spe |
Ability | Toxic Chain |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Assault Vest |
Moveset | ・
Shadow Ball
・ Future Sight ・ Tera Blast ・ Sludge Bomb |
Munkidori is a strong Special Attacker that was newly introduced in the Teal Mask DLC. As a strong Psychic Type, Munkidori's Future Sight does incredible damage to any Pokemon not immune to the move. Do note that the move will only hit two turns after it is used.
Sludge Bomb is an excellent STAB move to rely on, while Shadow Ball and Tera Blast are helpful coverage moves to use against Pokemon that may resist Munkidori's STAB moves.
With an Assault Vest and a good base Special Defense stat, Munkidori can comfortably take all manner of Special Attacks. However, you may want to be more careful around Physical Attackers.
Munkidori Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 244 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 Sp. Def / 4 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 197 HP / 204 Atk / 116 Def / 121 Sp. Def / 101 Spe |
Ability | Multiscale |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Rocky Helmet |
Moveset | ・
Roost
・ Encore ・ Extreme Speed ・ Earthquake |
This Dragonite build is very bulky, with most of its EVs in its HP and Attack stats, and it's a good defensive pivot. Its Multiscale ability halves the damage it takes as long as Dragonite's HP is full, which it can replenish using Roost.
Dragonite holds the Rocky Helmet item, so that any Attackers that make contact with Dragonite get damaged as well.
Extreme Speed and Earthquake are Dragonite's two offensive moves. Extreme Speed's damage can be further boosted by Terastallizing into the Normal Type, giving Dragonite a strong +2 priority STAB move.
Dragonite Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Timid (+Spe, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 4 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 131 HP / 75 Def / 187 Sp. Atk / 155 Sp. Def / 205 Spe |
Ability | Protosynthesis |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Booster Energy |
Moveset | ・
Calm Mind
・ Moonblast ・ Shadow Ball ・ Mystical Fire |
This fast Flutter Mane gets a Speed boost from its Booster Energy and Protosynthesis ability, which allows it to move first a majority of the time.
If it isn't immediately threatened by the opposing Pokemon, it can set up using Calm Mind to further increase its damage output. For the most part, you'll want to attack using Moonblast or Shadow Ball. You can deal even more damage with Moonblast if you Terastallize.
Against Grass Types and Special Attackers, you may want to use Mystical Fire, a Fire-type move that lowers the target's Special Attack.
Flutter Mane Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Jolly (+Spe, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 155 HP / 172 Atk / 101 Def / 85 Sp. Def / 205 Spe |
Ability | Sword of Ruin |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Focus Sash |
Moveset | ・
Icicle Crash
・ Crunch ・ Sucker Punch ・ Tera Blast |
This Chien-Pao build is fast and offensive but relatively frail. It holds a Focus Sash to be able to take at least two hits.
You can Terastallize offensively to hit Water Types with Tera Blast or you can Terastallize defensively to remove Chien-Pao's weaknesses.
Chien-Pao Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 164 HP / 4 Def / 180 Sp. Atk / 4 Sp. Def / 156 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 183 HP / 116 Def / 193 Sp. Atk / 112 Sp. Def / 124 Spe |
Ability | Good as Gold |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Choice Scarf |
Moveset | ・
Trick
・ Thunderbolt ・ Make It Rain ・ Shadow Ball |
With the Choice Scarf item, you can expect this Gholdengo to consistently move first. Gholdengo can deal a lot of damage with Make It Rain, but it also has access to Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball if you don't want to reduce its Special Attack stat.
You can use Trick to give the Choice Scarf to your opponent, allowing them to become stuck using just one move. This is especially good to use on support-oriented Pokemon.
Gholdengo Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 108 HP / 132 Atk / 172 Def / 52 Sp. Def / 44 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 189 HP / 183 Atk / 142 Def / 87 Sp. Def / 123 Spe |
Ability | Unseen Fist |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Punching Glove |
Moveset | ・
Aqua Jet
・ Surging Strikes ・ Close Combat ・ Swords Dance |
The Punching Glove item boosts the power of Rapid-Strike Urshifu's Surging Strikes. It also prevents it from taking damage from an opponent's Rocky Helmet or a Pokemon with the Rough Skin ability.
Take note that the Punching Glove negates Urshifu's Unseen Fist ability, so its moves can no longer go through Protect.

Munkidori |
Dragonite |
Flutter Mane |
If you feel stuck on which three to bring, Munkidori, Dragonite, and Flutter Mane are usually good choices. They provide good offensive and defensive coverage.
Munkidori and Flutter Mane can overwhelm opponents with their Special Attacks, and they can take Special Attacks in turn. Dragonite can switch into Attacks the others cannot take.
Possible Leads | ||
---|---|---|
Flutter Mane |
Gholdengo |
Chien-Pao |
This team mostly consists of fast, offensive Pokemon. Flutter Mane and Choice Scarf Gholdengo can be relied upon to go first most of the time. If your opponent does not have any good counters to them, you may be able to overwhelm them immediately.
