| Neutralizing Gas |
|
|
Neutralizing Gas is chosen for this build as it can shut down all Abilities on the field except Neutralizing Gas. Sitrus Berry gives Weezing extra HP and allow it to stay on the field for longer.
It is worth noting that as of a recent patch, Neutralizing Gas will shut off Protosynthesis and Quark Drive, making it so Booster Energy will not activate when they enter battle.
Weezing is still a good partner to Paradox Pokemon, however Booster Energy reliant Pokemon such as Speed Booster Energy Roaring Moon will be slightly less optimal as it used to be pre-patch.
| Protect | Taunt |
| Will-O-Wisp | Sludge Bomb |
Protect gives Weezing an option against Fake Out turns without having to commit to Tera.
Taunt shuts down opposing set up Pokemon, especially ones who have Trick Room.
Will-O-Wisp cripples Physical Attackers, removing their abilitiy to contribute offense meaningully in a match.
Sludge Bomb gives Weezing an offensive option, which notably 2HKOs Flutter Mane.

Ghost is the best Tera Type for this build because it lets Weezing dodge Extreme Speed and faster Pokemon with Fake Out.
Best Ghost Type Pokemon
Wolfe Glick's Weezing was built to be as bulky as possible. Some Speed investment is put into Weezing so that it can outspeed and burn most Iron Hands variants with Will-O-Wisp.
| Gunk Shot | A stronger Poison-type STAB option that comes at the cost of less accuracy. |
|---|
| Item: Choice Specs | Sludge Bomb 68 ~ 84 (52.3 ~ 64.6%) Guaranteed 2-Hit KO |
| Item: Assault Vest | Drain Punch 27 ~ 33 (15.6 ~ 19.1%) Possible 6-Hit KO |
| Item: Choice Specs | Moonblast 92 ~ 109 (53.4 ~ 63.3%) Guaranteed 2-Hit KO |
Game8's Competitive Damage Calculator
Will-O-Wisp and Taunt are powerful utility moves that can deny an opponents their gameplans. These can help Weezing and its partners stay in a match and eventually win.
Careful use of Protect and switching can help preserve Weezing, letting you use it in a match when you need it.
Paradox Pokemon are natural partners for Weezing as they are not so reliant on their Abilities. Flutter Mane and Iron Hands are two strong choices, but other Paradox Pokemon may work just as well!
| Support / Special Attacker | Physical Attacker |

Weezing

Iron Hands
|
| Physical Attacker | Special Attacker |
Ogerpon (Wellspring Mask)
|
Flutter Mane
|
Weezing works well with Paradox Pokemon who are not reliant on their Abilities for the most part. Iron Hands and Flutter Mane fit the bill as two dominant Paradox Pokemon.
Ogerpon Wellspring Mask works as both a Physical Attacker and a Redirection Pokemon who can protect its teammates.
Weezing is heavily threatened by super-effective attacks from Ground and Psychic types. Weezing players will typically be on the back foot if they are forced to Terastallize it instead of the other Pokemon on their team.
| Pokemon | Description |

Iron Crown
|
Ranking: ★★★★★
・Single target Expanding Force can still deal loads of damage to Weezing. ・Does not mind Will-O-Wisp, as it is a Special Attacker. ▶️Iron Crown Best Movesets |
Landorus (Incarnate Forme)
|
Ranking: ★★★★
・Landorus-I can safely launch boosted Earth Powers at Weezing, or cleanly set up Substitute in front of it. ・Does not mind Will-O-Wisp, as it is a Special Attacker. ▶️Landorus Best Movesets |
