Pokemon GO support to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) is now live! Read on to learn how to link your game to Pokemon GO and the different rewards you can get after connecting them!

Pokemon GO can now be connected to your copy of Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet! This went live right after the Pokemon Day 2023 stream which was held on February 27, 2023.
To link your Pokemon GO account with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to pair both Pokemon GO and the Nintendo Switch games.
| How to Link Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet | |

| 1 |  Open the Mystery Gift menu and select Connect to Pokemon GO. |
| 2 |  Select Pair with a Pokemon GO account. This will make the game look for a Pokemon GO account, which you will set up next. |
| 3 |  Open Pokemon GO and connect it to your Nintendo Switch console. Open the app, then go to Settings > Connected Devices and Services > Nintendo Switch. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for your smart device. |
| 4 |  Select Connect to Nintendo Switch. If done successfully, you wil get a prompt in Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet that you have paired a Pokemon GO account with the game. Select Yes to connect both games. |
You can send Postcards from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet once per day. Doing so will net you rewards to both Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

| 1 |  In Pokemon GO, select a Postcard to send in Pokemon GO. You first need to save a Postcard, which you can do by pinning it in your Postcard Book in Pokemon GO. |
| 2 | Choose Send to Nintendo Switch and confirm. |
| 3 |  In Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet, select Connect to Pokemon GO. This will connect both games and send the Postcard from GO to Pokemon Scarlet or Violet. |
| 4 |  Receive your rewards in both games. |
After linking your Pokemon GO account with your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet save, you will be able to send Postcards from the mobile app to your game. You can send a Postcard from Pokemon GO to the game once per day.
This process of sending Postcards are required to catch Roaming Form Gimmighoul in Pokemon GO, but the Nintendo Switch games also benefit from this as you can receive 50 Gimmighoul Coins and other items after receiving a Postcard!
You can also get alternate wing patterns for Vivillon after receiving a Postcard from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. After getting a Postcard, you will encounter Vivillon around Paldea with a different wing pattern for a limited amount of time.
The pattern will depend on the location of where the Postcard was obtained, so if you want to get all patterns for Vivillon, try getting Postcards from players around the world!
Vivillon Learnset, How to Get, and Evolution
Roaming Form Gimmighoul that you caught in Pokemon GO can be transferred from the mobile app to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet through Pokemon HOME, once connectivity for it is live.
The same goes for other Pokemon you caught in Pokemon GO which also appears in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Roaming Form Gimmighoul
While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can now link with Pokemon GO, a previous announcement has confirmed that one cannot send Pokemon from Pokemon GO directly to the Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet games.
Instead we will have to wait for compatibility with Pokemon HOME. We will update this page once more details have been announced!
