Grassy Seed |
Good Special Attack Stat coupled With Reliable Movepool. Nasty Plot buffs its Sp. Atk and Energy Ball can whittle down the enemy's Sp. Def . Great support options by dealing burns with Matcha Gotcha and providing healing with Grassy Terrain. |
With access to both Nasty Plot Sinistcha can buff up its Special Attack stat and deal damage with Energy Ball with the added benefit of possibly whittling down the enemy's Sp. Def.
It would be a waste not to take advantage of Sinistcha's Signature Move Matcha Gotcha that not only serves as a form of recovery, but inflicts a burn to the enemy. It can also offer minimal recovery to its teammates via Grassy Terrain.
We also recommend getting a Sinistcha with the Grass Tera Type to make its Grass-type moves more powerful. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Sp.Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Equip the Pokemon with Grassy Seed so that it can boost its Defense when Grassy Terrain is set up.
Sinistcha Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Grassy Terrain to strengthen your Grass-type moves, offer your team recovery, and activate your Grassy Seed. |
Turns 2~7 | Alternate the use of Matcha Gotcha and Nasty Plot to raise your Sp.Atk while maintaining your HP. Inflicting the Burn status will be a nice bonus! |
Turns 8+ | Terastallize and use Energy Ball to attack. Refresh your buffs if needed. |
Start the battle by setting up Grassy Terrain. This will offer passive healing to your team, activate your Grassy Seed for the +1 Defense, aand empower your Grass-type moves. Proceed to buff up with Nasty Plot to max out your Special Attack.
You can start dishing out Energy Balls once you are at +6 Sp Atk. and if you're lucky, you'll also proc the Special Defense drops against thee Raid Boss. Once you have enough Tera Orb charges, Terastallize and continue using Energy Ball TM Location (TM119) and Pokemon That Learn It to deal substantial damage to the Raid Boss.
If you're ever at a stage where your health is jeopardized, use Matcha Gotcha to recover back some of the HP you've lost.

This Grass Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Rock, Water, and Ground Tera Raids.
If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Flying, Bug, Ice, Dragon, Fairy and Poison-type outside of Terastallization, perhaps use a different build as Appletun will be weak to these Types.

Wild Poltchageist can be found among the bamboo stalks that can be found in the north section of Mossfell Confluence. They can be a tad hard to see as their green color might have them blend with the background, but shouldn't be too hard to find. Be mindful of whether you're catching a Counterfeit form or an Artisan form as the evolution item you'll need will change depending on which you catch.
