Leftovers |
The best ability for Garchomp in Tera Raid Battles is Rough Skin as this ability allows Garchomp to damage attackers that make direct contact with it.
We also recommend getting a Garchomp with a Tera Ground Type because it removes Garchomp's Fairy and Dragon weaknesses, withstanding other fast dragons and boosts its Ground-type STAB. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards making Garchomp a stronger physical attacker so it can provide heavier damage. Max out your Attack and HP EVs , while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. The Leftovers Item allows Garchomp to heal 1/16th of its HP every turn.
At the start of the raid, let Garchomp get its Attack Stat boost with Swords Dance and add in Outrage which is twice effective against Dragon types, despite inflicting confusion to Garchomp if it uses the same move 2-3 times.
Earthquake sets the stage for damage, supported by Iron Head that gives a 30% chance of causing an opponent to flinch with a higher accuracy towards a single opponent.

|
You can catch a Garchomp with a Tera Ground Type at the Surrounding Area of the Great Crater of Paldea as shown in the image above. You may end up catching one with a different Tera Type, so keep on catching several Garchomp until you get ones with Ground!
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
If it has a different nature, you can use an Adamant Mint to change its nature to Adamant.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
If its ability is different from our recommendation, you can use an Ability Patch to change it.
This can be obtained as a Reward in Academy Ace Tournament and in 6-Star Tera Raid Battles.

If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 Protein, 26 HP Up and 1 Zinc. All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽ 530,000 in total.
