Eviolite |
The best ability for Dipplin in Tera Raid Battles is Supersweet Syrup. This allows that it to reliably hit evasive Pokemon or to effectively use inaccurate moves. Though for this build, all of Dipplin's moves have an accuracy of 100.
This Dipplin build is meant to be used in sun. At the beginning of the Tera Raid Battle, Dipplin should use Sunny Day to set up the sun if none of your teammates are using a Pokemon with the Drought or Orichalcum Pulse abilities.
We also recommend getting a Dipplin with a Grass Tera Type to further boost the damage of Solar Beam and Giga Drain. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your HP and Special Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense.
Dipplin already has good defenses, but you can make it even bulkier by giving it an Eviolite and investing in its HP and Special Defense. Even though Dipplin's evolution is currently not yet available in the Teal Mask DLC, the Eviolite item still works on it.
Dipplin Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Sunny Day. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Growth to boost your offensive stats. |
Low HP Turns | Use Giga Drain to heal back the HP you may have lost. |
Turns 5+ | Use Solar Beam while sun is still up. Terastallize when possible. |
When Sun Disappears | Use Sunny Day to bring back the sun. |
Set up the sun in the first turn of the Tera Raid Battle by using Sunny Day. You'll want to have the sun up for the entirety of the battle.
Build up your offensive stats by using Growth. Dipplin should be able to boost its Attack and Special Attack stats by two stages each time it uses Growth while in sun.
To take advantage of the sun even further, use the 120 base power move Solar Beam. It normally takes two turns to execute the move, but under sunny conditions this is shortened to one turn.
Since this build is reliant on sun, prioritize setting up the sun with Sunny Day again when it disappears.
You can use Giga Drain to heal up when Dipplin's health is low or to build up your Tera Orb Charges.

This Dipplin Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Water, Ground, and Rock Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Fire, Flying, Poison or Bug Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Dipplin will be weak to these Types as a Grass-Type attacker.
