Azumarill can be a viable attacker against Ice-Weak Tera Raid bosses if it is Terastallized into an Ice-type. This is the case against the upcoming 7-Star Decidueye Raid Event.

Like with other Azumarill builds, this also leans on Belly Drum, but this time, Ice Spinner will be its main weapon.

Belly Drum Azumarill Best Tera Raid Build

Best Tera Type for Ice-type Pokemon

Ice Tera Type

Ice-type Pokemon can take advantage of Terastallizing to their own type to boost the power of Ice-type moves, like Ice Beam, Blizzard, or Ice Punch.

Terastallizing into Ice will also help them lose their second typing which removes weaknesses from that type.

Fire Tera Type

Having a Fire Tera Type can help Ice-type Pokemon safely receive Fire-type moves that would otherwise be super-effective against them. This is a great counter against Fire-type attackers since Fire-type moves are the most commonly-used moves to deal with Ice-types.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Fire with Fire Tera Shards.

Ground Tera Type

A Ground Tera Type can also help Ice-type Pokemon deal with their other weaknesses. Terastallizing into Ground will neutralize damage from Fighting, Steel, and Fire-type moves instead of being 2x effective, and resist damage from Rock-type moves by half.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Rock with Rock Tera Shards.
