The Loyal Three Rental Teams for Singles | ||
---|---|---|
Okidogi & Ogerpon Rental Team | Munkidori Rental Team | Fezandipiti Rental Team |
Rental Code | 7H0MT8 |
---|
This is a defense-oriented team built to endure hits, deal consistent chip damage, and stall out the opponent. This team may require a bit more planning to execute well compared to hyper offensive teams, and it is more suited to those who prefer slow and steady playstyles.
Nature | Bold (+Def, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 195 HP / 145 Def / 90 Sp. Atk / 145 Sp. Def / 121 Spe |
Ability | Toxic Chain |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Black Sludge |
Moveset | ・
Moonblast
・ Taunt ・ Sludge Bomb ・ Nasty Plot |
This Fezandipiti is a bulky build that can boost its Special Attack by using Nasty Plot and heal every turn with its Black Sludge item. Take note that while its Water Tera Type is a defensive Terastallization option, Fezandipiti will lose its Poison typing and the benefits of Black Sludge.
Its Toxic Chain Ability combined with this bulky build allows it to have multiple chances of poisoning the opponent.
Fezandipiti Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Impish (+Def, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 124 Def / 124 Sp. Def / 4 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 202 HP / 140 Atk / 111 Def / 111 Sp. Def / 81 Spe |
Ability | Prankster |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Light Clay |
Moveset | ・
Spirit Break
・ Thunder Wave ・ Light Screen ・ Reflect |
This Grimmsnarl's primary purpose is to set up Light Screen and Reflect to boost your team's defenses. Light Clay allows these screens to stay up for eight turns instead of the usual five. The Prankster ability makes sure that Grimmsnarl's status moves have priority, often before the opponent can attack.
After setting up these screens, Grimmsnarl can then reduce the opponent's Attack stat by using Spirit Break or paralyze and slow down the opponent by using Thunder Wave.

Nature | Bold (+Def, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp. Def |
Final Stat Values | 197 HP / 150 Def / 145 Sp. Atk / 111 Sp. Def / 120 Spe |
Ability | Pressure |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Rocky Helmet |
Moveset | ・
Roost
・ Discharge ・ Hurricane ・ Volt Switch |
This Zapdos welcomes attacks with its defensive EV spread and its Rocky Helmet item. It can then heal up the damage it takes using Roost.
Its primary attacks Discharge and Hurricane have a chance of imbuing the opponent with a status effect (paralysis and confusion, respectively) in addition to doing damage.
If you find yourself in a disadvantageous position, you can easily switch out using Volt Switch while still dealing damage.
Zapdos Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Impish (+Def, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 244 HP / 4 Atk / 116 Def / 76 Sp. Def / 68 Spe |
Final Stat Values | 261 HP / 131 Atk / 176 Def / 110 Sp. Def / 74 Spe |
Ability | Vessel of Ruin |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Sitrus Berry |
Moveset | ・
Earthquake
・ Ruination ・ Stealth Rock ・ Whirlwind |
Ting-Lu's primary purpose on this team is to set up Stealth Rock. You can make the opposing team take damage from this entry hazard by using Whirlwind, or you can attack using Earthquake and Ruination.
This Ting-Lu build can outspeed many of the common slow Pokemon in the metagame such as Bloodmoon Ursaluna if they have no Speed investment.
Ting-Lu Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk |
Final Stat Values | 198 HP / 127 Def / 200 Sp. Atk / 126 Sp. Def / 97 Spe |
Ability | Flash Fire |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Assault Vest |
Moveset | ・
Flash Cannon
・ Earth Power ・ Magma Storm ・ Tera Blast |
The most offensive member of this team, Heatran has max Special Attack and can deal a lot of immediate damage while still being bulky thanks to its Assault Vest and good typing.
This Pokemon is good for dealing a lot of damage without having to set up. It also has an offensive Terastallization option in Fairy, turning Tera Blast into a strong Fairy-type move.
Heatran Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Impish (+Def, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp. Def |
Final Stat Values | 257 HP / 120 Atk / 183 Def / 86 Sp. Def / 55 Spe |
Ability | Unaware |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Leftovers |
Moveset | ・
Liquidation
・ Rest ・ Sleep Talk ・ Curse |
This Dondozo is built to be a complete defensive wall. It has max HP and Defense, and Curse allows it to boost its Defense even further as well as its Attack stat.
Rest allows Dondozo to heal all of its HP back to full, with the caveat of being put to sleep. However, with Sleep Talk, Dondozo can still access its moves even while asleep.
Watch out for Special Attackers, since only Dondozo's Defense stat is boosted. Its Special Defense stat isn't quite as fortified.

Team Strategies and Options |
---|
Recommended Leads | ||
---|---|---|
Grimmsnarl |
Ting-Lu |
If you want your team to be even bulkier, lead with Grimmsnarl and set up a Light Screen and a Reflect. This will allow you to take less damage from both Special and Physical Attacks for eight turns.
Ting-Lu is another good lead option, with more offensive set-up capabilities. It can set up entry hazards using Stealth Rock and continuously swap your opponent's team around using Whirlwind.
Defensive Pokemon | ||
---|---|---|
Dondozo |
Zapdos |
Fezandipiti |
Once you have screens or rocks set up, you can send in your other bulky Pokemon to start setting up as well or to start chipping away at your opponent.
Dondozo can be a complete physical wall once properly set up with Curse, while Fezandipiti is better equipped to take attacks from Special Attackers. Zapdos can take both Physical and Special Attacks, though it would prefer to receive contact moves because of its Rocky Helmet.
Offensive Pokemon | ||
---|---|---|
Heatran |
Zapdos |
Heatran and Zapdos are two of the more offensive Pokemon in this defensive team. They are good to have in case you need to deal a good amount of damage without needing to set up.
Pokemon to Watch Out For | ||
---|---|---|
Chien-Pao |
Flutter Mane |
Ogerpon (Hearthflame Mask) |
Although this team is built to withstand all types of attacks, fast hyper offensive teams may be strong enough to overwhelm your defenses if you are not positioned correctly.
Make sure to bring Pokemon that can resist their attacks. Pokemon in these hyper offense teams are often frail, so as long as you can withstand a few attacks and deal damage in return, you should be able to get through these types of teams.
