Last Respects becomes more powerful for each of your Pokemon that has fainted, making Houndstone a great late game sweeper with a 150 Base Power STAB move (200 in Doubles) if it is the last Pokemon remaining on your team.

Best Tera Type for Rock-type Pokemon

Rock Tera Type

Rock-type Pokemon can benefit from Terastallizing with their own type as this boosts the power of their Rock-type moves.

This will also remove the weaknesses from their secondary typing, if there are any.

Fighting Tera Type

Letting Rock-type Pokemon have a Fighting Tera Type will remove all of Rock-type's weaknesses, allowing them to safely receive the most common counters like Water, Ground, or Fighting-type attacks.

This will also boost the power of Fighting-type moves if one is included in their moveset.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Fighting with Fighting Tera Shards.

Water Tera Type

Rock-type Pokemon can also have a Water Tera Type to soften the damage they receive from Water or Steel-type attacks, although this choice is more niche as it will still leave the Pokemon vulnerable to Grass-type moves.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Water with Water Tera Shards.

Grass Tera Type

Alternatively, Rock-type Pokemon can adapt a Grass Tera Type to counter any Grass and Water-type attacks coming their way. It also powers up any Grass-type attacks included in their moveset.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Grass with Grass Tera Shards.
