Floragato's Grass type attacks are Not Very Effective against Brassius' Grass type Pokemon, so instead of relying on Floragato's Bite alone, using Fire Type Pokemon that are Super Effective against Brassius' Pokemon will make the battle way easier!

Brassius' Grass type Pokemon are naturally weak against Crocalor and its Fire type attacks. Plus, Fletchinder's Ember and Flame Charge moves will also prove to be super effective against the enemies you will go up against in this Gym Battle.

Fletchinder will have to take the lead in dealing higher damage in this battle with its Fire type moves, with Growlithe as a backup carry. Should you be forced to use Quaxwell, you can use Wing Attack which is Super Effective against Brassius' Grass type Pokemon.

How to Beat Brassius

First You Must Pass the Sunflora Hide-and-Seek Test

Looking for Sunflora - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Before you have the chance to face Brassius, you must first pass the Artazon Gym Test. In this test, you need to find the Sunflora hiding in the city. This is one of the more interactive challenges in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and is a lot of fun. Once you successfully clear the test you may challenge Brassius.
Sunflora Hide and Seek Challenge: Artazon Gym Test Walkthrough

Level Up to Lv. 17

Since you can encounter Artazon Gym early in the game, you won't face any powerful attacks from Brassius' Pokemon, except for Sudowoodo's Trailblaze which also increases speed. However, for the best odds at defeating Gym Leader Brassius, raise your Pokemon to Lv. 17 or higher. Do this especially for Pokemon that are weak against Grass types.

Terastallize at the Start of Battle

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Alternate Fuecoco Form
Players can Terastallize their Pokemon at the very start of Gym Battes. We recommend you take advantage of Flying or Fire Tera Types, as it raises your chances of defeating most Pokemon in one hit using a move the type it is weak against.

Tips and Strategy to Beat Brassius' Rematch Team

Breloom
Brassius' Breloom has the Ability Effect Spore. This is an Ability which has a 30% chance to activate on contact and leave the attacking Pokemon with the Burn, Sleep or Paralyze Status Condition. While the chance of it activating is relatively low, its better to stick to special, non-contacting moves like Dragonite's Air Slash for this matchup.
