The best ability for Victreebel in Tera Raid Battles is Chlorophyll. You can boost your Speed under Sun which is a nice bonus while you set up with Growth and Acid Spray.

This build focuses on setting up Sunny Day to quickly get Special Attack boosts from Growth. You then attack the Raid Boss with a devastating Solar Beam to immediately end the battle.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Victreebel with a Grass Tera Type to make its Grass-type moves more powerful. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Sp.Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Equip the Pokemon with Shell Bell to regain HP when using damaging moves.

Tera Raid Strategy

Victreebel Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Acid Spray to lower the Raid Boss' Sp.Def and build up Tera Orb charge.
Turn 4 Use Sunny Day to get Sun up.
Turns 5~7 Use Growth to max out your Sp. Atk.
Turns 8+ Terastallize and use Solar Beam repeatedly to attack. Refresh your buffs and weather if needed.

Start the battle by shredding the Raid Boss' Sp. Def using Acid Spray while also building up Tera Orb charges in the process. Afterwards, set up Sun with Sunny Day so you can quickly buff your Sp. Atk with Growth.

Once you have enough Tera Orb charges, Terastallize and use Solar Beam to deal substantial damage to the Raid Boss.

The best ability for Victreebel in Tera Raid Battles is Chlorophyll. While not having much use in Solo Raids, it's a good option in Co-Op when you have allies that like to set up Sun like Groudon or Koraidon.

This build focuses on debilitating Raid Bosses with Strength Sap to lower their Attack. Then, you can dish out decent damage with a Grassy Terrain and Swords Dance boosted Leaf Blade to make quick work of Grass-weak Raid Bosses.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Victreebel with a Grass Tera Type to further boost the damage of Leaf Blade. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense to help with survivability while still dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Sp. Def. Equip the Pokemon with Shell Bell to regain HP when using damaging moves.

Tera Raid Strategy

Victreebel Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Swords Dance to raise Victreebel's Attack to +6.
Turn 4 Use Grassy Terrain to set up terrain.

Turns 5~7 Use Leaf Blade to deal damage and build Tera Charge.
Optional Recast Grassy Terrain when it runs out.
Turns 7+ Terastallize once you build up enough Tera Orb Charge, and continue using Leaf Blade.

Start the Tera Raid battle by setting up with Swords Dance a few times to boost Victreebel's Attack. Follow it up with Grassy Terrain to set up some passive healing for the team and power-up Grass-type moves.

Use Leaf Blade to deal super effective damage. Once you have enough Tera Orb charge, terastallize into a Grass-type and use boosted Leaf Blade to finish the raid. When you think you need to heal, Victreebel has access to Synthesis to heal itself back up.

Alternative Moves

Victreebel can also be built to deal with more general Raid Bosses in mind with minimal changes to the build. Make sure to invest in Def EVs instead of Sp.Def instead for this build.

Move Case
Seed Bomb Higher base power than Leaf Blade but no increased chance to land a Critical-hit. Useful for Pokemon that are immune to Critical-hits.
Strength Sap Better healing option against Physical Attacking Pokemon.
Reflect Can be used as a supporting move in place of Strength Sap.

Pokeball IconBoost allies' damage with Acid Spray.

The best ability for Victreebel in Tera Raid Battles is Chlorophyll. While not having much use in Solo Raids, it's a good option in Co-Op when you have allies that like to set up Sun like Groudon or Koraidon.

This build focuses on debilitating the Tera Raid Boss using Gastro Acid, Acid Spray, and Clear Smog to check whatever the Raid Boss throws to the Party.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Victreebel with a Poison Tera Type but you're most likely not Terastallizing if you're running support. As a Support, a Calm Nature would be best to ensure it can take Special Attack hits.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your Sp.Def and HP EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Give Victreebel Leftovers for passive healing.

Tera Raid Strategy

Victreebel Tera Raid Situational Strategies
Ability Neutralizer Supress the Raid Boss' Ability with Gastro Acid to debilitate the Raid Boss.
Debuffer Help out the teams' damage output using Acid Spray
Buff Cleanser Remove buffs from the Raid Boss using Clear Smog.

This Build focuses on supressing the Ability of the Tera Raid Boss with Gastro Acid. With this, you can essentially help out the teams by removing a buff source from Raid Bosses or give them a weakness they would normally be immune to.

After removing the Raid Boss' Ability, you can then proceed to either remove any buffs they may have recieved using Clear Smog or lower their Sp. Def with Acid Spray.

You can also heal yourself up with Synthesis so you don't drag the team down by lowering the timer.

Alternative Moves

Victreebel is an amazing Pokemon whose moveset lets it focus on supporting ally Pokemon. Here's some moves we could recommend that could help in certain types of raids.

Move Case
Reflect , Lunge , and Strength Sap Great to use on Raid Bosses who prefer to attack with Physical Attacks. You can focus on having Defense EVs instead if needed.
Giga Drain or Leech Life Good offensive healing option. You can focus on having Sp. Atk or Atk EVs instead if needed.
