This Heat Rotom build is designed to counter Fire Weak Pokemon, such as Steel, Grass, Ice and Bug Tera Type Raid Bosses.
The best ability for Heat Rotom in Tera Raid Battles is Levitate. This is Rotom's only ability, but works great for Heat Rotom since it should normally be 4x weak to Ground.
We also recommend getting a Heat Rotom with a Fire Tera Type to boost the damage of Overheat, and convert Tera Blast to be a Fire-type move after Terastallization. As a Special Attacker, Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Give it Life Orb to help Rotom recover HP when dealing damage.
Heat Rotom Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turns 1~3 | Use Nasty Plot to maximize Rotom's Special Attack. |
Turn 4 | Use Sunny Day to boost Fire Type Moves. |
Turn 5 | Use the cheer Go All Out! to boost your damage further. |
Turn 6 | Use Overheat to defeat the Raid Boss. If this did not OHKO, use Nasty Plot 2 more times, followed by another Overheat to seal the deal. |
Heat Rotom matches up favorably against Steel, Ice, Bug and Grass Tera Type Raid Bosses, particularly if they are naturally a Ground Type, as it is immune to Ground-type attacks thanks to its Levitate Ability and is bulky enough to take most neutral hits. Its typing is also good for offense, as Overheat can these types for super-effective damage.

This Mow Rotom Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Steel, Ice, Bug and Grass Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Rock or Water Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Heat Rotom will be weak to these Types as a Fire Type attacker.

Rotom has a low spawn rate, though it is recommended to hunt for one near the lighthouse next to Porto Marinada, which is right next to the Pokestop.
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
If the Heat Rotom build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
If it has a different nature, you can use Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
