Great typing that lets it get 9 resistances and an immunity. Access to Cosmic Power lets it raise both Defense Stats. Serene Grace lets it get the Charge Beam Sp. Atk boost reliably. |
Jirachi's typing of Steel and Psychic lets it have an amazing pool of resistances to nine different types and an immunity to Poison.
Cosmic Power is preferred in this set for its ability to boost two different stats; giving you an extra slot for another buffing move, in this case, Charge Beam.
While Jirachi only has access to Serene Grace as an ability, it makes effective use of it via the move Charge Beam which guarantees it will always raise Sp. Atk.
We also recommend getting a Jirachi with a Psychic Tera Type to further boost the damage of Stored Power. As a Special Attacker, Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def.
Defense is the preferred stat to allot your remaining EVs as a lot of Raid Bosses can carry either a Dark or Ground type move, which are usually Physical. However, you can also opt for Sp. Def if you want to use this for Fire and Ghost type attackers if needed.
Give it Shell Bell to keep yourself healthy while setting up against the Raid Boss.
Jirachi Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turns 1~3 | Use Cosmic Power to buff your Def and Sp. Def. |
Note | Try to to learn the behavior of the raid boss. Iif it like to clear the party's buffs early, opt for Fake Tears instead of Cosmic Power. |
Turn 4 | Attack with Stored Power to heal yourself with your Shell Bell build Tera Orb Charges. |
Turns 5~8 | Repeat the loop of using Cosmic Power to power up Stored Power. |
Optional | If the raid boss' shield isn't up, you use Fake Tears a few times. |
Turns 12~14 | Use Charge Beam to raise your Sp. Atk by three stages. If you want, you can cap out to +6. |
Turns 15+ | Terastallize and use Stored Power until the raid boss is defeated. |
This build capitalizes on Jirachi's natural bulk due to its typing and status as a Mythical Pokemon and its access to the move Cosmic Power. This move consolidates the role of Amnesia and Iron Defense for other Stored Power Attackers, leaving you with one more moveslot.
Charge Beam is the move used by this build, not only to build Tera Orb charges, but also raise Jirachi's Special Attack thanks to its ability, Serene Grace.
Once you get enough Tera Orb charges, you can then fire off Stored Power, which should be able to an absurd amount of damage due to how much buffs you accumulated. If the damage is not enough, you can use Fake Tears to shred the Raid Boss's Special Defense if its shield is not up.

This Jirachi Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Poison and Fighting Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Dark, Fire, Ground, or Ghost Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Jirachi will be weak to these Types as a Psychic-Type attacker.

If you have save data for either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, speak to the gentleman in the flower field on the southwest end of Floaroma Town and he'll give you Jirachi. This Jirachi can then be transferred into your game via Pokemon HOME.

If the Jirachi build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
If it has a different nature, you can use Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
EV train Jirachi according to the build's EV spread using Vitamins, Mochis, or the traditional way with Power Items and battling Pokemon with the right EV yield.
Vitamins can be bought at any Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 to fully train a Pokemon. Meanwhile, Mochi can be obtained through the Ogre Oustin' Minigame.
If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Calcium (for Sp. Atk), and 1 Iron. All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total. You can also use Mochis in place of the Vitamins.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.
