To celebrate the 2024 World Championships, an Outbreak featuring Wattrel, Riolu, and Comfey is coming soon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)! Read on to learn the event duration, locations, mark, and title information, and more!

The 2024 World Championship Celebration Outbreak event feautring Wattrel, Riolu, and Comfey will run from August 08, 2024 to August 22, 2024.

All Wattrel, Riolu, and Comfey will have a boosted chance of being Shiny and a chance to get the Pumped-Up Mark, and will run alongside the Chest Form Gimmighoul Tera Raid!

Mass Outbreak Locations

The 2024 World Championship Celebration Outbreak Event will be held in all three maps in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Wattrel will appear in Paldea, Riolu will appear in Kitakami, and Comfey will appear in the Terarium.

This means that only those that have purchased the DLC have access to the Riolu and Comfey outbreaks.

Comfey Locked Behind Post Game and Teal Mask Post-Game

The Comfey outbreaks will only appear in The Indigo Disk's Terarium, which is only accessible if you have finished both the base game and The Teal Mask's stories.

That means that if you want to hunt for a Shiny Comfey, you need to finish both the base game and The Teal Mask.

The 2024 World Championship Celebration Outbreak Event features boosted Shiny encounter rates. You can further boost your chances of getting Shinies for all three Pokemon with a Level 3 Sparking Power: Electric, Flying, Fighting, or Fairy sandwiches!

To join this mass outbreak event, you needed to connect your game to the Internet to update the game data. Once done, Wattrel, Riolu, and Comfey should start appearing on your map!

To connect to the Internet, simply press the X button to open the menu and press the L button to connect to the Internet.

Pokemon Can Have the Pumped-Up Mark

During the Mass Outbreak Event, Wattrel, Riolu, and Comfey caught have a higher than usual chance of having the Pumped-Up Mark, conferring upon them the "the Driven" Title when used in battles.

Stock up on Sandwiches and Poke Balls to help you catch a Water-type Pokemon with the mark you want!

1 in 20 Chance of Getting Pumped-Up Mark

There is around a 1 in 20 or a 5% chance for the Pumped-Up Mark to appear on a Pokemon in this Mass Outbreak Event!

Mark Charm May Increase Chance of Getting Marked Pokemon

The Indigo Disk DLC has added the Mark Charm item in the game, which raises the chance of encountering marked wild Pokemon. It is likely that this will also increase the chance of encountering marked Pokemon during the event.

To get the Mark Charm, you need to register all Pokemon appearing in the Blueberry Pokedex.
