Medali, the city with the Normal Gym is a hard to reach area found in the Paldea region in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Continue reading to see a map of Medali, and learn more about the city's features, including available shops, events, as well as the best method for how to get there quickly!

1 | Start from the North Pokemon Center in Cascarrafa |
2 | Head into Asado Desert, and stay to the right of the area. |
3 | You will eventually come across ruins in the desert. Stay to the right while passing by them. |
4 | You will eventually come to a cliff on your right. Jump off to exit the desert area. |
5 | Head straight and jump off of the next cliff, then go right along the main path. |
6 | Go along a the path where you will eventually cross a bridge, taking you into the Casseroya Lake area. |
7 | You willl eventually find another bridge. Cross over it to enter into West Province (Area Three). |
8 | Continue up the hill along the path, and you will eventually see Medali. Make sure to rest at the Pokemon Center so that you fast travel here from now on. |
Medali's Gym Leader is Larry, who specializes in Normal-type Pokemon. We recommend using Fighting-type Pokemon to make the battle much easier for you.

After Defeating the Medali Gym Leader, you can talk to the chef of the restaurant to change the Tera Type of your Pokemon. You will also be given 50 Normal Tera Shards, allowing you to change the Tera Type of one of your Pokemon to the Normal type as soon as you want.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
In order to change your Pokemon's Tera Type, you need to gather 50 shards of the same type. You can collect Tera Shards by either taking part in Tera Raid Battles or by catching Wild Tera Pokemon.
