How to Catch The Loyal Three

Pokemon SV Teal Mask - Munkidori

After completing the Teal Mask DLC, you can catch The Loyal Three (Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti), at the locations you first encountered them. Read on for more information on how to find and catch these Legendary Pokemon in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) Teal Mask DLC.

How to Catch The Loyal Three

Complete the Main Story of the Teal Mask DLC

You encounter Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti as you go through the story of the Teal Mask DLC. However, you cannot catch them until after you finish the DLC's story.

To catch the Loyal Three, you first need to beat the main story of The Teal Mask DLC. Once you clear the story, Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti will reappear in the same locations where they were when you first battled them.

Turn off Autosaves and Save Before Battle

Pokemon SV Teal Mask - Fezandipiti

Before going up to one of The Loyal Three, make sure to save in case something goes awry. Turn off autosaves so that it doesn't overwrite your hard save.

If you accidentally knock out the Pokemon you're trying to catch, you can reset to your save and attempt to catch it again.

Bring Scizor

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Scizor Image

Scizor is an excellent Pokemon for catching the Loyal Three. It can learn False Swipe and is immune to Poison.

With a high enough level, Scizor can take minimal damage from the Loyal Three's non-Poison attacks, and get them to low enough HP for you to catch them.

The Loyal Three Locations

Okidogi Location

Map Location Overworld Location

Okidogi can be found to the northwest in Paradise Barrens. It is a Poison/Fighting type, which means that Scizor may take neutral damage from its Fighting-type Attacks. It is also modestly bulky, so it may take multiple False Swipes to get it to low HP.

Munkidori Location

Map Location Overworld Location

Munkidori can be found near the lake in Wistful Fields at the bottom left of the map. It is a Poison/Psychic type, so Scizor will take resisted damage from its Psychic-type Attacks. Scizor can easily get it to low HP with its attacks, and get it to 1 HP with False Swipe.

Fezandipiti Location

Map Location Overworld Location

Fezandipiti can be found on a cliff on the east side of Oni Mountain. It is a Poison/Fairy type, so Scizor will take resisted damage from its Fairy-type Attacks. Scizor can easily get it to low HP with its attacks, and get it to 1 HP with False Swipe.
