The best ability for Dragapult is Infiltrator, which allows it to ignore protective moves and stat boosts done by its opponent.
Start the battle by using Light Screen or Will-O-Wisp, depending on whether you want to receive less Special Attack damage or Physical Attack damage. Then use either Dragon Pulse or Shadow Ball depending on what type of Tera Pokemon you are facing. When your tera orb charges up, terastallize and use the STAB move appropriate for your Tera Type.
We recommend getting a Dragapult with either the Dragon Tera Type or Ghost Tera Type. As a special attacker, either a Timid or Modest nature would be best.
Dragapult's EV spread is centered around giving it a speedy offense. So max out its Special Attack and Speed EVs, then add the remaining into Special Defense.
Give it a Life Orb, which increases the damage of Dragapult's damaging moves by 30% at the cost of 10% of its max HP afterward.
Dragapult Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Will-O-Wisp or Light Screen, depending on whether you're facing a Pokemon that's a Physical Attacker, or a Special Attacker. |
Turns 2~4 | Attack with either Dragon Pulse or Shadow Ball. |
Turns 5+ | Keep attacking with the move you chose on turn 2. If the type of the move you're using matches your Tera Type, then terastallize for more damage. |
Set up by using either Will-O-Wisp or Light Screen. Then on the second turn, attack with either Dragon Pulse or Shadow Ball. When your Tera Orb is charged, terastallize and use the appropriate STAB move for more damage.

Dragapult |
Dragapult is a Pokemon that can only be acquired by evolving a Drakloak. On top of that, Drakloak is exclusive to Pokemon Violet, so you will have to trade with friends to get a Dragapult or Drakloak of your own if you own Pokemon Scarlet.
if you do own Pokemon Violet, you can catch a Drakloak with a Dragon or Ghost Tera Type around Casseroya Lake, or up on Glaseado Mountain. Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
If your Dragapult has a different nature, you can use either a Timid or Modest Mint to change its nature to Timid or Modest respectively.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
If its ability is different from our recommendation, you can use an Ability Capsule to change it.
This item can be bought at Chansey Supply shops for ₽100,000.
Ability Capsule Location and How to Get
If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 Calcium, 26 Carbos, and one Zinc. All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.

---|---|---|

After EV training it, head to Montenevera and talk to the man with an Abomasnow near the Pokemon Center. He will hyper train your Pokemon using Bottle Caps.
A Bottle Cap can be bought at the Delibird Presents shops for ₽20,000 after getting 6 Gym Badges. 1 Bottle Cap is needed for each stat that will be maxed out.

Next, level it up to 100 to maximize its stats. The easiest way to do this is by farming Exp candies from Tera Raid Battles.

Lastly, give your Dragapult a Life Orb so it receives a boost to its damage, though in exchange for some of its HP.
