Typing allows for it to resist both Fighting and Grass Type Attacks Acid Armor increases its bulk while Acid Spray decreases the Sp. Def of the Raid Boss Adaptability and Poison Tera greatly boosts the power of Poison-type moves |
The best ability for Dragalge in Tera Raid Battles is Adaptability to increase the damage of all its Poison-type moves. Combined with the Special Defense drops from using Acid Spray, Dragalge can deal a lot of damage.
With its Poison and Dragon typing, Dragalge has a 4x resistance to Grass-type attacks and a 2x resistance to Fighting-type attacks. Dragalge can further increase its bulk by using Acid Armor.
We recommend getting a Dragalge with a Poison Tera Type to further increase its damage output. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Sp. Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Equip the Pokemon with Shell Bell to regain HP when using damaging moves.
Dragalge Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Acid Spray to drop the Raid Boss' Sp. Def. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Acid Armor until you get to +6 Def. |
Low HP Turns | Use a Heal Cheer to regain HP. |
Turns 5~7 | Use Acid Spray until the Raid Boss is at -6 Sp. Def. Terastallize when possible. |
Turns 8+ | Use Sludge Bomb or Venoshock until you defeat the Raid Boss. |
On the first turn, you'll want to use Acid Spray to drop the Raid Boss's Special Defense. Don't boost your stats this turn because stat boosts will get removed after the turn ends.
Once stat boosts have been removed, you are free to increase your Defense using Acid Armor until you get boosted to +6. Feel free to heal up using a Heal Cheer when your HP gets too low.
At this point, the Raid Boss should have its shield up and cleared its stat drops. Use Acid Spray until the Raid Boss is left at -6 Special Defense. Terastallize when you can to increase your damage output as well as the amount of HP you heal with your Shell Bell.
Once the Raid Boss's Special Defense has been dropped, attack it with Sludge Bomb until it is defeated. If it gets poisoned, you can switch to using Venoshock for more damage. However, take note that the Raid Boss may remove its Poison status condition without warning.

For those who have Pokemon Scarlet, Dragalge with a Poison Tera Type can be found in the North Paldean Sea and other parts of the ocean.
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
Pokemon Violet players may need to rely on Tera Raids hosted by Scarlet players to find Dragalge, or they can transfer one from Pokemon HOME.
If the Dragalge build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
If it has a different nature, you can use a Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
If its ability is different from our recommendation, you can use an Ability Capsule to change it.
This item can be bought at Chansey Supply shops for ₽100,000.

Ability Patch Location and How to Get
EV train Dragalge according to the build's EV spread using Vitamins, Mochis, or the traditional way with Power Items and battling Pokemon with the right EV yield.
Vitamins can be bought at any Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 to fully train a Pokemon. Meanwhile, Mochi can be obtained through the Ogre Oustin' Minigame.
If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Calcium (for Sp. Atk), and an Iron. You can also use 26 Health Mochi, 26 Genius Mochi, and a Resist Mochi, or combine the Vitamins and Mochi.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.
