The best Pokemon to beat Drayton are Flutter Mane, Chi-Yu, and Garchomp.
Get them up to Lv. 100 and make sure to EV train them to have an easier time defeating Drayton.
Note that you can use any Pokemon, even the ones you've caught outside Terarium for Drayton's battle!
Pokemon | Recommended Moves |
---|---|
Flutter Mane
|
・Dazzling Gleam (Lv. 35) ・Can deal massive damage wih Beads of Ruin-assisted Dazzling Gleams. |
Chi-Yu
|
・Overheat (Lv. 75)
・Can assist Flutter Mane with its Beads of Ruin Ability, allowing it to deal super-effective damage with Dazzling Gleam. ・Matches up favorably against Sceptile, who it can one-shot with Overheat. |
Garchomp
|
・Stomping Tantrum (TM 084) ・Dragon Claw (TM 078) ・Can outspeed and outdamage Drayton's Pokemon. ・Can deal super-effective damage with Stomping Tantrum to Archaludon. |
Flutter Mane and Chi-Yu have been a powerful offensive duo since Series 2. These two Pokemon can simply click attacks next to each other, with both of them benefiting from Beads of Ruin
Flutter Mane is a strong matchup against most Pokemon in Drayton's entire team, being a fast Fairy-type with strong Special Attack.
Double Battles often require players to make use of strategies and Pokemon that synergize together. This synergy can come in many forms, such as simply having complementing typings, or Pokemon with synergistic strategies that work with each other. Pokemon that see the most play in competitive battle are often Pokemon that work in any and most teams, but sometimes having strategies and cores built around specific Pokemon can lead to success in battling.
Doubles Tier List for Competitive and VGC
Drayton can be found in the Polar Biome, where he will be waiting to test you in his Trial.
Polar Biome Map and Pokemon List
Drayton's Elite Trial is one of the harder trials as he'll only let you participate if you use Pokemon that you caught within the Terarium and caught by yourself. This means that you cannot use your regular team that you caught from the Paldea region nor from Kitakami region.
After completing the trial, Drayton will let you use Pokemon you've caught outside of the Terarium for his battle.
Drayton |
Drayton is a new character introduced in Part 2 of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero - The Indigo Disk.
He is one of the few characters you meet in Blueberry Academy. He may act a bit laid back, but its said he seems to hold his own when it comes to Pokemon battling. He is said to skip classes often and that it is rumored that he’s had to repeat a year thrice already.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC: Release Date and Everything We Know
Drayton is one of the Elite Four members of Blueberry Academy along with Lacey, Amarys, and Crispin.
With its focus on Pokemon Battling, Blueberry Academy seems to hold its own league with its own set of challenges per member, just like the Gym Challenges in the Paldea League.
