Summary

Summary
Pokeball Icon Lower Hisuian Samurott's accuracy with Mud-Slap for some lucky turns.

Pokeball Icon Lower Hisuian Samurott's damage output with Tablets of Ruin, Sunny Day, and Reflect.

Pokeball Icon Heal yourself with Giga Drain

Pokeball Icon Be careful with using this build with Physical Attackers

Wo-Chien is a tanky Pokemon that can take on more hits than usual thanks to its high Defense and Special Defense stats. Due to this, it can afford to do setups that will take several turns as long as the raid boss will not reset Wo-Chien's stats.

For this build. Wo-Chien takes full advantage of Sunny Day to improve the stat boosts from Growth and execute one-turn Solar Beams during the raid for allies to deal massive damage. Letting it have a Modest Nature will further improve its offensive capabilities with Giga Drain.

Wo-Chien's Tablets of Ruin Ability will reduce the raid boss' Attack stat but will also affect your allies, so it is recommended to team up with other special attackers.

Wo-Chien with a Grass Tera Type will increase Giga Drain damage, and therefore the healing you get.
Best Pokemon to Terastallize Grass

EV Spread Explanation: 252 HP + 252 Def

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing Wo-Chien's HP and Defense. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Sp. Atk.

Tera Raid Strategy

Wo-Chien Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turn 1 Use Sunny Day to set up for allies and lower Hisuian Samurott's damage.
Turn 2 Use Reflect to further lower damage from Hisuian Samurott's physical moves.
Low HP Turns Use Giga Drain to recover health and charge your Tera Orb.
FreeTurns Use Mud-Slap for some free turns where Hisuian Samurott will miss its moves.

At the start of the raid, summon harsh sunlight with Sunny Day then use Reflect. With the sun present, your Grass type allies will get a +2 boost to their Special Attack stat from Growth instead of just +1, so they can max out your stat boost in just three turns.

If your HP goes low, attack with Giga Drain to damage the raid boss, heal Wo-Chien, and most importantly, charge your Tera Orb. Mud-Slap can also be used to score some free turns with Hisuian Samurott missing its moves.

Once your Tera Orb is fully-charged, you can Terastallize on the next turn and dish out massive damage to break its shield. Having the sun up will remove the one-turn charge time of Solar Beam for allies to perform the attack immediately.

Effective Support Against 7-Star Hisuian Samurott

Pokemon SV The Teal Mask DLC - 7 Star Hisuian Samurott Tera Raid Event

Using this strategy will help out allies to take out 7-Star Hisuian Samurott. This will help lessen turns required, but it still depends on when it will put up its shield and reset stat changes.

Summary

You can use Snarl and Pollen Puff as amazing options in order to deal damage while also lowering the Raid Boss' Special Attack and healing allies respectively.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting Wo-Chien with a Dark Tera Type to help take down the Raid Boss' Energy Shield while still dropping it's Special Attack with Snarl.

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid Support EV spreads should lean towards bulk. Max out your HP and Special Defense EVs, while allocating the rest into Defense. Give Wo-Chien Leftovers to heal off damage you obtain in order to last longer in the raid.

Tera Raid Strategy

Wo-Chien Tera Raid Situational Strategies
Debuffer Help the other attackers by debilitating the Raid Boss with Snarl.
Healer Help out your allies with Pollen Puff to heal off any damage your allies' take.
Screen Setter Help the team's overall bulk by setting up Light Screen.

In this Build, Wo-Chien functions as a support Pokemon that has the option to attack. Start off the raid by setting up a Light Screen to raise the team's overall bulk againt the Raid Boss' Special Attacks.

If you notice your allies are running low on HP, Wo-Chien can use Pollen Puff as a healing move. You can also heal yourself with Giga Drain.

On off turns when you don't need healing, you can attack using Snarl and Pollen Puff. Snarl is a great move to carry as it can still lower Sp. Atk even if the Raid Boss' shield is up.

For this build. Wo-Chien takes full advantage of Sunny Day to improve the stat boosts from Growth and execute one-turn Solar Beams during the raid to deal massive damage. Letting it have a Modest Nature will further improve its offensive capabilities.

Wo-Chien's Tablets of Ruin Ability will reduce the raid boss' Attack stat but will also affect your allies, so it is recommended to team up with other special attackers.

Wo-Chien with a Grass Tera Type will increase Giga Drain damage, and therefore the healing you get, as well as Solar Beam's power when it Terastallizes, which you will be able to use without charging it up for one turn as long as harsh sunlight is present in the field.

EV Spread Explanation: 252 HP + 252 Sp. Atk

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing Wo-Chien's HP and Special Attack. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense.

Tera Raid Strategy

Wo-Chien Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turn 1 Use Sunny Day to set up for boosted Growths.
Turns 2~4 Use Growth to get +6 Sp.Atk.
Turns 5~7 Use Giga Drain to recover health and charge your Tera Orb.
Turn 8 Use Sunny Day to set up for one-turn Solar Beams
Turn 9+ Terastallize and use Solar Beam for massive one-turn damage.

At the start of the raid, summon harsh sunlight with Sunny Day then use Growth on the next three turns. With the sun present, you will get a +2 boost to Wo-Chien's Special Attack stat from Growth instead of just +1, so you can max out your stat boost in just three turns.

After using Growth thrice, attack with Giga Drain for three turns to damage the raid boss, heal Wo-Chien, and most importantly, charge your Tera Orb.

Once your Tera Orb is fully-charged, use Sunny Day first to summon sunlight again, then Terastallize on the next turn and dish out massive damage with Solar Beam. Having the sun up will remove the one-turn charge time of Solar Beam and allow Wo-Chien to perform the attack immediately.
