This is a strategy guide to using the Swords Dance Singles Rental Team for Ranked Battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Read on for the team's rental code and tips on how to use this team effectively in competitive play, recommended movesets and best builds, and strategies and synergies for each Pokemon.

This offensive-oriented Singles team is a great choice for Scarlet and Violet's hyper offensive metagame. Both Breloom and Garchomp are great setup leads as their presence often forces switches, giving them an opportunity to set up with Swords Dance.

Breloom is a good lead option, as it can put an opposing lead to sleep with Spore, while it sets up Swords Dance. It can then sweep with Bullet Seed and Mach Punch.
Focus Sash makes it so it always takes two hits to KO.

Garchomp is good to lead against opposing Breloom, who you can Fire Fang twice for the KO. Its Lum Berry can prevent sleep from Spore, as well as other status conditions.
After a successful Swords Dance, Garchomp can KO most Pokemon with ease with its powerful STAB Earthquake. Terastallizing into Fire allows it to be immune to Will-O-Wisp.
Iron Head is Garchomp's coverage move that allows it to easily KO Fairy-types.

Garganacl can enter late into a match and pose as an unbreakable wall. After running your opponents out of Special Attackers using your offensive Leads, Garganacl can come in late-game and be an immovable Tank.

With Choice Specs, Gholdengo can hit frighteningly hard. Gholdengo's Special Attack stat is hard to ignore, while its moveset is difficult to completely wall.
Gholdengo's typing is very good defensively as well, with three immunities and a myriad of resistances. Its Good as Gold Ability lets it switch into a Status Move and immediately be an offensive threat.

Wash Rotom is a reliable Electric/Water Type that can dish out good damage against Pokemon that do not resist it. Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, and Hydro Pump are great ways for Wash Rotom to deal damage, while Will-O-Wisp can take an opponent's Physical Attacker out of the game.
This Pokemon is best used mid to late-game, where it can KO low HP Pokemon with ease.

Similar to Breloom and Garchomp. Hydreigon can also threaten with a setup move in Nasty Plot. It does not always need to set up, however, as it is perfectly capable of taking key KOs without Nasty Plot. Draco Meteor is very powerful, and is capable of taking out Pokemon that do not resist it.
Tera Steel and Flash Cannon are good for turning Hydreigon's bad matchups against Fairy-types around.

Garchomp and Breloom are both great Pokemon to send in first into a match. In a 3-vs-3 match, these Pokemon are capable of taking multiple KOs, swinging the tempo in your favor.
In Team Preview, it is important to check what your opponents may want to lead with and choose your Pokemon according to this. Garchomp is great against leads that may want to inflict status thanks to Lum Berry, while Breloom with its Focus Sash can go against more offensive leads.

After your Lead Pokemon gets taken out, having a good second Pokemon to come in can help you regain momentum. Gholdengo and Wash Rotom are good at this because of their decent natural bulk and their high damage output.

Hydreigon and Garganacl are your late-game win conditions. It is important to keep them healthy until the late stages of a match, where they'll be able to work as anchors and bring your team to victory.
