Best Tera Type for Fairy-type Pokemon

Fairy Tera Type

Fairy-type Pokemon can boost the power of Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and other staple Fairy-type moves if they Terastallize to Fairy.

Fire Tera Type

Steel-type moves are a huge problem for Fairy-type Pokemon, so being able to resist this by Terastallizing into Fire Tera Type can be a big help.

You can combine this with raising your Fairy-type Pokemon's Defense stat as most Steel-type moves are physical, like Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer.

Do note that Terastallizing into a Fire Tera Type will make you vulnerable to Water-type moves, which can be used against you as a counter if your opponent expects you to Terastallize to a Ground Tera Type.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Fire with Fire Tera Shards.

Steel Tera Type

Giving Fairy-type Pokemon a Steel Tera Typing can also help it resist Steel-type moves, although the typing makes them vulnerable against Fighting, Ground, and Fire-type moves.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Steel with Steel Tera Shards.

Ground Tera Type

Another defensive Terastallization tactic for Fairy-type Pokemon is Terastallizing them into a Ground Tera Type, which helps them resist Poison-type moves like Sludge Bomb or Poison Jab.

Terastallizing into a Ground Tera Type will make you vulnerable to Water-type moves as well, so be wary as it can be used against you as a counter if your opponent expects you to Terastallize to a Fire Tera Type.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Ground with Ground Tera Shards.
