Best Munkidori Singles Rental Team for VGC & Competitive
Sample Team | ||
---|---|---|
Munkidori |
Dragonite |
Flutter Mane |
If you feel stuck on which three to bring, Munkidori, Dragonite, and Flutter Mane are usually good choices. They provide good offensive and defensive coverage.
Munkidori and Flutter Mane can overwhelm opponents with their Special Attacks, and they can take Special Attacks in turn. Dragonite can switch into Attacks the others cannot take.
Possible Leads | ||
---|---|---|
Flutter Mane |
Gholdengo |
Chien-Pao |
This team mostly consists of fast, offensive Pokemon. Flutter Mane and Choice Scarf Gholdengo can be relied upon to go first most of the time. If your opponent does not have any good counters to them, you may be able to overwhelm them immediately.

Best Cornerstone Ogerpon (Rock) and Okidogi Singles Rental Team for VGC & Competitive
Recommended Team Core | |
---|---|
Okidogi |
Ogerpon (Cornerstone Mask) |
The two new Pokemon from the Teal Mask DLC are the highlights of this team and perform consistently well against other teams. You may be inclined to bring both of them to most games.
Both are bulky Pokemon that can also deal significant damage. They have a wide array of coverage moves between the two of them that can cover most match-ups. They also synergize well defensively, with them having no common weakness.
Recommended for Type Coverage | |
---|---|
Heatran |
Wash Rotom |
In addition to Okidogi and Ogerpon, you may want to bring one of these Pokemon to round out your team of three.
Heatran provides additional Fire and Steel-type moves and an immunity to opposing Fire-type moves. Rotom Wash provides valuable Water and Electric-type move coverage and an immunity to Ground-type moves.
Choose whichever Pokemon has a better type match-up against your opponent's team.
Strong Pokemon with Priority | |
---|---|
Dragonite |
Scizor |
If you're having a difficult time choosing the right Pokemon for a type advantage or are worried about incredibly fast Pokemon from your opponent, Dragonite and Scizor may be more ideal picks.
Dragonite is very bulky and can switch into most attacks. With Extreme Speed, it can also deal a lot of damage while moving first, especially when it is Terastallized.
Scizor is good to use against fast Flutter Mane because of its priority Bullet Punch. It can also set up a Swords Dance to further boost the power of its Physical Attacks, strenghtening its priority move.

Best Fezandipiti Singles Rental Team for VGC & Competitive
Recommended Leads | ||
---|---|---|
Grimmsnarl |
Ting-Lu |
If you want your team to be even bulkier, lead with Grimmsnarl and set up a Light Screen and a Reflect. This will allow you to take less damage from both Special and Physical Attacks for eight turns.
Ting-Lu is another good lead option, with more offensive set-up capabilities. It can set up entry hazards using Stealth Rock and continuously swap your opponent's team around using Whirlwind.
Defensive Pokemon | ||
---|---|---|
Dondozo |
Zapdos |
Fezandipiti |
Once you have screens or rocks set up, you can send in your other bulky Pokemon to start setting up as well or to start chipping away at your opponent.
Dondozo can be a complete physical wall once properly set up with Curse, while Fezandipiti is better equipped to take attacks from Special Attackers. Zapdos can take both Physical and Special Attacks, though it would prefer to receive contact moves because of its Rocky Helmet.
Offensive Pokemon | ||
---|---|---|
Heatran |
Zapdos |
Pokemon to Watch Out For | ||
---|---|---|
Chien-Pao |
Flutter Mane |
Ogerpon (Hearthflame Mask) |
Although this team is built to withstand all types of attacks, fast hyper offensive teams may be strong enough to overwhelm your defenses if you are not positioned correctly.
