With 100 across all its stats, Manaphy is flexible enough to be built either Physical or Special. This Manaphy capitalizes on the move Tail Glow to make it a super powerful Special Attacker where it immediately gives it +3 in its Sp. Atk stat.

The only ability Manaphy has access to is Hydration. This will allow it to heal itself off any Status Conditions as long as it is Raining. This is very useful for Raid Bosses that like to inflict Paralysis and Confusion so as not to waste turns.

You can choose between Weather Ball or Scald for this build with Surf being used for a bit more damage while Scald is more useful for Physical Attackers to cut their damage.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Manaphy with a Water Tera Type to boost the power of Scald or Weather Ball . As a Special Attacker, Modest nature would be best.

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Sp. Def. Give it a Shell Bell to keep its HP topped up.

Tera Raid Strategy

Manaphy Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~2 Use Tail Glow to Max out your Sp.Atk. stat.
Turns 3~5 Use Fake Tears to fully shred the ooponent's Sp.Def.
Turn 6 Use Rain Dance to remove any Status Conditions you may recieve and buff your Water-Type Moves.
Turns 7+ Use Weather Ball or Scald to Build your Tera Orb Charge and heal up any damage you recieve. Terastallize when you can.
Buff Reset Use Fake Tears or Tail Glow when you need them back up.

This strategy capitalize on using Tail Glow to easily max out your Sp. Atk and using Fake Tears to easily shred the opponent's Sp. Def.

Rain Dance is used in two ways, to heal off any Status Conditions and also boosting your own Weather Ball or Scald's damage.

This Manaphy Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Fire, Ground and Rock Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Grass, or Electric Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Manaphy will be weak to these Types as a Water-Type attacker.

EV Train Manaphy

EV train Manaphy according to the build's EV spread using Vitamins, Mochis, or the traditional way with Power Items and battling Pokemon with the right EV yield.

Vitamins can be bought at any Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 to fully train a Pokemon. Meanwhile, Mochi can be obtained through the Ogre Oustin' Minigame.

Water Tera Special Attacker Build

If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Calcium (for Sp. Atk), and a 1 Zinc (for Sp.Sp.Def). All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total. You can also use the respective Mochi in order to raise the respective stats.

Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.

After EV training it, head to Montenevera and talk to the man with an Abomasnow near the Pokemon Center. He will hyper train your Pokemon using Bottle Caps.

A Bottle Cap can be bought at the Delibird Presents shops for ₽20,000 after getting 6 Gym Badges. 1 Bottle Cap is needed for each stat that will be maxed out.
