Gholdengo's Ability Good as Gold makes it immune to all status moves, rendering moves such as Thunder Wave, Screech and other debilitating moves that raid bosses use ineffective against it.

With this, Gholdengo can set itself up with Nasty Plot, then use Make It Rain to deal huge damage.

Iron Hands boasts a very high HP and Attack stat, making Life Orb a viable held item option to increase your damage, while you also heal from Drain Punch. After a Swords Dance setup, Iron Hands should be able to 2HKO at most the majority of meta Pokemon.

Terastallizing Iron Hands to Steel has two benefits. First, by becoming a Steel-type, you gain resistance to Psychic and Fairy type attacks, two of Iron Hands' main weaknesses. Second, by Terastallizing to Steel, your Tera Blast then also becomes Steel types, allowing you to catch Fairy-type Pokemon off guard, and hitting them for 2x Steel STAB.

Best Tera Type for Steel-type Pokemon

Steel Tera Type

Letting Steel-type Pokemon have a Steel Tera Type will allow them to launch powerful attacks thanks to damage bonuses from STAB and using Steel-type moves while Terastallized.

Additionally, for most dual-typed Steel-type Pokemon, forcing them to only have a Steel-typing is a great way to remove the weaknesses from their other type.

Ground Tera Type

Steel-type Pokemon are weak to Ground-type moves, so it is also viable to let them have a Ground Tera Type for them to avoid taking super-effective damage from moves such as Earthquake.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Ground with Ground Tera Shards.

Fire Tera Type

Another good defensive Tera Type for Steel-types is Fire, which can help them resist Fire-type moves like Flamethrower or Fire Punch.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Fire with Fire Tera Shards.

Water Tera Type

Most players may anticipate you Terastallizing into either Ground or Fire and may have Water-type moves prepared. You can plan ahead one step further and let your Pokemon have a Water Tera Type in order to resist Water-type moves.

You can change your Pokemon's Tera Type to Water with Water Tera Shards.
