Hisuian Zoroark might be one of, if not the strongest, Pokemon in this competition because of its Normal-typing making it immune to Ghost-type attacks.
It also has a Dark Tera Type in order to resist Dark-type attacks and for it to become immune to Sableye's Prankster moves.
Hisuian Zoroark Movesets and Best Builds

It is also running a Fire Tera Type to help shed its weaknesses while also boosting the damage output of Mystical Fire.
Flutter Mane Movesets and Best Builds

Dragon Darts
・ Phantom Force ・ Sucker Punch ・ U-turn |
This Dragapult is running the more common Dragon Tera Dragon Darts set, which only Mimikyu, Flutter Mane and Gholdengo can tank without Terastallizing.
Any opponent facing this set must run a Steel or Fairy Tera in order to not risk getting knocked out by Dragapult.
Dragapult Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | HP 132 / Def 60 / Sp. Atk 116 / Sp. Def 4 / Spe 196 |

Ability | Grim Neigh |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Sitrus Berry |
Moveset | ・
Shadow Ball
・ Draining Kiss ・ Nasty Plot ・ Psychic |
Like Flutter Mane, this Spectrier is built to be bulkier to more safely get Nasty Plot boosts off. Once this Spectrier is set up, it will be difficult to stop because of Grim Neigh boosting its Sp. Atk every time it knocks out a Pokemon.
This Spectrier set is also running a Sitrus Berry and Tera Fairy Draining Kiss in order to maximize the amount of health recovery it gets.
Spectrier Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | Atk 252 / Sp. Def 4 / Spe 252 |
Final Stat Values | HP 195 / Atk 180 / Def 85 / Sp. Def 96 / Spe 130 |
Ability | Adaptability |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Choice Scarf |
Moveset | ・
Wave Crash
・ Aqua Jet ・ Last Respects ・ Flip Turn |
Adaptability Basculegion is the last Pokemon used to help the team deal with the more common Ground and Fire secondary types in the format.
Alternatively, you could a Swift Swim set with Life Orb if you teach your Sableye Rain Dance instead of Thunder Wave.
Basculegion (Male) Movesets and Best Builds
Hisuian Zoroark |
Only Pokemon in the format that's immune to Ghost attacks since it is part Normal. Also creates a guessing game on whether or not the Pokemon that the opponent is facing is actually Hisuain Zoroark or not.
Hisuian Zoroark Movesets and Best Builds
Sableye |
Only Pokemon in the format that has access to Prankster. It also has a wide variety of moves that it can choose from in order to support its team.
Sableye Movesets and Best Builds
Mimikyu |
Disguise is a built in Focus Sash that allows Mimikyu to set up Trick Room or to get a Swords Dance boost off. There also aren't a lot of multi-hit moves in the format that can bypass Disguise and knock out Mimikyu.
Mimikyu Movesets and Best Builds
Dragapult |
One of the fastest and most diverse Pokemon in the game. Dragapult commonly runs either a physical or special attacking set, but it can also use supportive screens or even a mixed attacking set.
Players will have to guess what kind of Dragapult is on the opponent's team every time they see it in the team preview.
Dragapult Movesets and Best Builds
Basculegion (Male) |
There are a lot more threatening Fire types in the format compared to Grass types, which makes Basculegion an easy slot in for any team that needs a sixth Pokemon.
It also isn't reliant on Sableye using Rain Dance, but it certainly wouldn't mind if it does.
Basculegion (Male) Movesets and Best Builds
Skeledirge |
Only Pokemon in the format that has access to Unaware. Skeledirge could straight up wall entire teams that rely on setting up if they don't have an answer to it and whatever Tera Type it decides to use.
Skeledirge Movesets and Best Builds
Flutter Mane |
One of the most popular Pokemon across all competitive formats. It would be no surprise that Flutter Mane is one of the best Pokemon to use for this competition due to its blistering speed and potential to quickly get knock out after knock out if left unchecked.
Flutter Mane Movesets and Best Builds
Gholdengo |
Gholdengo's Ghost/Steel typing has some of the best resistances in the game. It can also use a Water Tera to better tank hits it would normally be weak to.
Grass-types are also a lot weaker compared to the other Pokemon in this format, so if the opponent doesn't have a counter to Tera Water Gholdengo, it could lead to a clean and easy sweep.
Gholdengo Movesets and Best Builds
Gengar |
Gengar, alongside Gholdengo, is one of two Pokemon with STABs that naturally counter Flutter Mane's Fairy-typing. This alone makes it valuable for any team that needs a way to deal with a Speed Booster Flutter Mane.
It's Poison-typing also has an added bonus of being able to check the many Grass-types in the format.
Gengar Movesets and Best Builds
Gengar |
Palossand |
Annihilape |
Expect to see these Pokemon as hazard setters with moves like Toxic Spikes, Stealth Rock, or Spikes respectively.
While Gengar is an amazing Poison-type attacker, it could also run a more supportive set with Toxic Spikes. Players should always take note that could face a utility Gengar rather than a purely offensive one.
Annihilape is unfortunately not a great attacker in this format since it cannot use Drain Punch to heal itself. It will most likely get knocked out before it has a chance to build up Rage Fist stacks and get a meaningful KO.
Hisuian Typhlosion |
Chandelure |
Spectrier |
While these Pokemon are strong offensively, they are either really frail or are outsped by stronger Pokemon in the format. However, with the proper team and setup, these Pokemon can shine and become strong attackers that can sweep the whole enemy team.
