Metronome |
Mew is an amazing pick for this raid as it has excellent stat line and a wide move pool. This build makes use of the move Struggle Bug to efficiently lower Mewtwo's Special Attack in order to safely set up with Swords Dance.
We also recommend getting Mew with a Bug Tera Type to make Leech Life a more potent attacking move. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's Def and Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into HP. Equip the Pokemon with a Metronome to give it great damage output combined with healing with consecutive Leech Lifes.
Mew Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Struggle Bug to lower Mewtwo to -3 Sp. Atk and build up Tera Orb Charges. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Swords Dance to get to +6 Atk. |
Turns 5+ | Terastallize and use Leech Life multiple times to attack until Mewtwo is defeated. Feel free to set any buffs or debuffs you might have lost. |
Start the raid by setting up a Light Screen to help the team out with surviving Mewtwo's powerful attacks.
With access to Swords Dance and Leech Life, Mew should be able to deal a great amount of damage while simultaneously healing itself.

Use Misty Terrain to prevent Mewtwo from using Rest after its shield is broken.
You won't be terastallizing with this build so any Tera type would suffice. As a Support Pokemon, a defensive nature like Calm, would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid Support EV spreads should lean towards bulk. Max out your HP EVs, while splitting the remaining EVs evenly between Special Defense and Defense. Give Mew a Light Clay to increase the duration of your Light Screen.

Team Healer | On turns where the team is low on HP, Mew can replenish 25% of their HP with Life Dew. |
Heal Blocker | Once Mewtwo's Shield is sufficiently lowered, use. your terrain move to prevent Mewtwo from healing. |
In this Build, Mew functions as purely a support Pokemon. Start off by setting up a Light Screen to give your Raid party more bulk when taking on Mewtwo.
On turns where the team is low on HP, heal them with Life Dew, restoring 25% of all players' Pokemon's HP.
When you see that Mewtwo's shield is about to break immediately use Misty Terrain to prevent Mewtwo from using Rest

This team composition takes advantage of the active buff Mew receives during the Mewtwo Tera Raid, as it receives HP and stat multipliers during the raid.
Three Mews can take on an offensive role, having a Bug Tera Type and attacking with Leech Life to deal damage and restore some health, which is then boosted by Metronome.
The fourth Mew can focus on supporting its allies by setting up Light Screen, and healing its fellow Mews with Life Dew and doing Heal cheers.
# | Mewtwo Raid Step by Step Guide |
---|---|
1 | Attacker All three attackers use Struggle Bug against Mewtwo to lower its Sp. Atk. |
Support: Use Light Screen to lower Mewtwo's damage to the party. |
|
2 | Attacker All three attackers use Swords Dance to sharply raise Atk. |
Support: Use a Defense Cheer to further bolster your defenses. |
|
3 | Attacker Two attackers use Swords Dance to sharply raise Atk. The other one will use Struggle Bug to keep Mewtwo's Sp. Atk at bay. |
Support: Use Life Dew or Heal Up! cheer to heal off any damage the party receives. |
|
4 | Attacker All three attackers can now use Leech Life against Mewtwo heal off damage while also dealing substantial damage. |
Support: Keep using Life Dew or Heal Up! cheer to heal off any further damage. |
|
5 | Attacker Keep dealing damage with Leech Life. If Mewtwo decides to buff itself, you can use Struggle Bug. Immediately Terastallize when you are able to. |
Support: Keep topping up HP with Life Dew or set up Light Screen again to lower any further damage. |
|
6 | Attacker If Mewtwo decides to wipe off debuffs return to Step 1. If Mewtwo decides to remove your buffs reinstate with Swords Dance. |
Support: Keep topping up HP with Life Dew or set up Light Screen again to lower any further damage. You can also help out with using Struggle Bug if you're comfortable with your HP. |
|
7 | Attacker If you see that you're close to breaking Mewtwo's shield, refrain from attacking until you see Misty Terrain set up. |
Support: Once Mewtwo's shield is close to breaking, immediately use Misty Terrain. |
|
8 | Attacker Keep attacking once shields are down. Reinstate buffs if needed. |
Support: Once Mewtwo's shield breaks, it will use Rest. It should fail if you properly performed Step 6. |
|
9 | Attacker Keep attacking until Mewtwo faints. Reinstate buffs if needed. |
Support: Keep your party alive with Light Screen and Life Dew. You can also refresh Misty Terrain to prevent freezing. |
Using this strategy it should take approximately 15~20 turns to take out 7-Star Mewtwo. More turns may be required, depending on when Mewtwo will reset stat changes.

With its amazing typing making it the perfect Reflect Type target, Sableye is one of the premier supports for Mew especially if you're planning on hosting raids.
Prankster is the best ability for Sableye as it will alllow it to pull off a Light Screen before Mewtwo can attack.
We also recommend getting Sableye with a Dark Tera Type but it doesn't really matter as you will be focusing as a support for the team. If you do wish to terastallize, Dark is the best option so you will still be immune to Psystrike as this build has little to no Defense investment.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's Sp. Def and HP stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Def. Equip the Pokemon with a Bright Powder in order for Mewtwo's attacks to miss more often.

After Light Screen is set up, you can start using Mud-Slap to drop Mewtwo's accuracy. When Mewtwo's accuracy can longer be dropped, start using Snarl to debilitate Mewtwo's damage output.

This build sets up Shadow Rider Calyrex to one shot Mewtwo with a support Mew in its Tera Raid Event by raising its Special Attack stat while lowering the raid boss' Special Defense.
Do take note that the host of the raid should use Calyrex, while the player who will join the raid should use the support Mew.
Shadow Rider Calyrex should have a Ghost Tera Type to and a Modest Nature to fully maximize the damage output of Astral Barrage once it finishes setting up with Mew. Additionally, let Calyrex hold a Life Orb to further raise Astral Barrage's damage.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your Defense and Sp.Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into HP to help it withstand Mewtwo's Psystrike.
Calyrex Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turns 1~3 | Use Snarl to charge your Tera Orb and until Calyrex is knocked out. |
Turns 4~10 | After reviving, do nothing, and wait for Mew to lower Mewtwo's accuracy to -6 |
Turn 11 | Use Substitute to safely boost Calyrex' stat on the next few turns. |
Turns 12~14 | Use Nasty Plot and raise Special Attack to +6. |
Turn 15 | Terastallize and use Astral Barrage to defeat Mewtwo in a single hit. |
At the start of the raid, use Snarl three times to build up your Tera Orb charge. Keep using Snarl until Calyrex is knocked out, which forces Mewtwo to reset its negative effects earlier than usual.
Once Calyrex gets back in battle, do nothing to prevent Mewtwo from using Calm Mind. Simply wait for Mew to Fling a Light Ball on Mewtwo and attack with Mud-Slap. This will paralyze Mewtwo and lower its accuracy.
After that, use Substitute, then use Nasty Plot until you get +6 Special Attack while your allied Mew uses Acid Spray. You are less likely to get hit while boosting your stat as Mewtwo will be paralyzed and have reduced accuracy, and your Substitute will take the damage if ever Mewtwo's attack lands.
After setting up and confirming that Calyrex has +6 Special Attack and Mewtwo has -6 Special Defense, use an Attack cheer, then wait for Mew to use Helping Hand on you. Terastallize after getting Helping Hand and use a boosted Astral Barrage to wipe out Mewtwo in a single hit.

Mud-Slap and Acid Spray is primarily used to lower Mewtwo's accuracy and Special Defense respectively. After Mewtwo reset its stats, Mew will then use Fling on Mewtwo to paralyze it with its Light Ball.
Mew's EV for this build is spread to make it bulkier. Its HP EV is maxed out, while the rest is split between Defense, Special Defense, and Speed.
48 Speed EVs are required to make Mew outspeed Mewtwo.

Start the raid by using Acid Spray until Mewtwo resets its stats, then use Fling to paralyze Mewtwo with your Light Ball.
Afterwards, use Mud-Slap until Mewtwo's accuracy is at -6 followed by Acid Spray until Mewtwo's Sp. Def is also at -6. Finally use Helping Hand on Calyrex to help it one shot Mewtwo.

As Shadow Rider Calyrex, start the raid by using Snarl until you're KO'd. Your allied Mew should use Acid Spray to lower Mewtwo's Sp. Def.
After Mewtwo resets its stats, Mew should use Fling to paralyze Mewtwo with its Light Ball. Calyrex should do nothing until Mew has lowered Mewtwo's accuracy to -6. Doing nothing will prevent Mewtwo from using moves like Calm Mind.
As soon as Mewtwo's accuracy is sufficiently lowered, Calyrex should use Substitute and start using Nasty Plot to get to +6 Sp. Atk. Mew on the other hand will use Acid Spray until Mewtwo's Sp. Def is -6
Finally, Mew will use a Helping Hand on Calyrex in order for Astral Barrage to defeat the 7-Star Mewtwo Raid in one hit!
