Pokemon SV - August 13 News Indigo Disk

After the conclusion of the 2023 Pokemon World Championships, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) recieved more news for the second part of the DLC: The Indigo Disk. Read on for the details and everything we learned about the upcoming features and Pokemon revealed during the new trailer!

It was revealed in the Closing Ceremony of the Pokemon Worlds Tournament that every Starter Pokemon line that hasn't returned in the form of Tera Raid events are slated to return in the Indigo Disk DLC!

Smeargle and Signature Move: Sketch

Pokemon SV - Smeargle
Alongside the reveal of the Starter Pokemon, the Pokemon Smeargle is shown to be returning in the DLC! Although not explicitly stated, it can be assumed that Sketch, its Signature Move, will also be added.

This could present itself as a strong contender in the meta as it will get moves it did not previously have access to which were made available since Sword and Shield!

Shaymin and Gracidea

Pokemon SV - Shaymin Confirmed for HOME
A small blurb about Pokemon HOME was released confirming Shaymin and most likely its Sky Forme, will be available for transfer to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via Pokemon HOME! It is very likely that the item used to change Shaymin's form, the Gracidea, will be available in the Porto Marinada Auctions!

Pokemon SV - Psychic Noise
A Special Psychic-type move that uses abrasive sounds to prevent the opponent from using recovering HP through moves, items, and Abilities for a certain number of turns.

A Fighting-type physical move wherein the user will react to priority moves and will allow them to the user to attack first and cause their opponent to flinch without fail. This move will fail if the target is not going to use a priority move.

Signature Moves for New Paradox Pokemon

Thunder Clap: Raging Bolt (Paradox Raikou)'s Signature Move

Pokemon SV - Thunderclap
Raging Bolt, just like Walking Wake with Hydro Steam, will also recieve a new signature move called Thunder Clap. It is a priority move that deals Electric type damage, it is currently unknown if it gets any benefits under Harsh Sunlight.

Tachyon Cutter: Iron Crown (Paradox Cobalion)'s Signature Move

Pokemon SV - Tachyon Cutter
Iron Crown, just like Iron Leaves with Psyblade, will also recieve a new signature move called Tachyon Cutter which a multi-hit Steel type move. It is currently unknown if it gets any benefits under Electric Terrain.

A new tera type will be made available in Part 2 of the DLC! It is now known that this Tera Type is called Stellar and that it behaves very differently from a normal Tera Typing.
