Naranja Academy and Uva Academy are the oldest schools in the Paldea region in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Read on to learn more about these schools and the people you can meet there!

The Naranja and Uva Academies are prestigious schools located in Mesagoza, the largest city in the region. The academy you enroll to is dependent on which version you are playing. It is likely that Naranja Academy is the school you enroll to in Pokemon Scarlet and Uva Academy will be the school you go to in Pokemon Violet. Emblems, uniforms and other details will differ from versions as well.
People from all over the Paldea region come to these schools to learn all about Pokemon. Adults are seen taking classes alongside children, as these schools welcome Pokemon enthusiasts of all ages. Pokemon are said to take some classes here too!
At these academies, students can hone their skills for Pokemon Battles or academics.

You will meet a number of interesting new characters at the academy. These characters are likely important to the game's overall story.

A first in the mainline Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet features two different professors that are exclusive depending on the version of the game you play. Professor Sada appears in Pokemon Scarlet while Professor Turo appears in Pokemon Violet.

The director of the Naranja Academy (Pokémon Scarlet) or Uva Academy (Pokémon Violet) in Mesagoza City, who is strict but kind in his teachings. Director Clavell happens to be a good friend to both Professor Sada and Professor Turo.
His clothes changes depending on the version of the game you own.

Jacq is the player's homeroom teacher and Biology teacher and in the Academy. Though slightly airheaded and hyperfocused, he also developed the Pokédex App for Rotom Phones.

Arven is one of the player's upperclassmen in the Academy. While not good in Pokémon battles, he is really good in cooking and is looking for healthy recipes to make Pokémon feel better.

One of your classmates in the same grade. Very shy, she does not come by to the academy all that often. Penny stands out due to her Eevee bag that she always carries.
