From Mossui Town, head north and climb up Apple Hills. Near the waterfall, you'll find a cave full of Geodudes. Here, Raikiri, the Electric-type specialist of Kitakami Ogre Clan waits.

Probopass
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Luxray
(Lv. 76) Held Item: Terrain Extender |
Vikavolt
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Electric Seed |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
As an Electric-type specialist, it's highly recommended to prepare some Ground-type Pokemon, especially for Raichu and Probopass. However, be wary as Luxray has Ice Fang, and Vikavolt has Levitate.
From Kitakami Hall, head slightly southwest towards Mossfell Confluence. In the open field by some bamboo stalks, you'll find Masamune, the Fairy-type specialist of the Kitakami Ogre Clan.

(Lv. 75) Held Item: Light Clay |
Clefable
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Sitrus Berry |
Gardevoir
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Ribombee
(Lv. 76) Held Item: None |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
Masamune's lead, Grimmsnarl, starts by setting up Reflect to protect it's team from physical moves so it might be better to lead with a Special Attacker. Don't get too comfortable though as it also has a Clefable with Calm Mind waiting in the wings to tank any Special hits. His Ribombee also likes to set-up with Quiver Dance so it's recommended to take it out before it gets too strong to handle.
From Oni Mountain's Peak, find the entrance into the mountain hidden on the outer rock formations surrounding The Crystal Pool. Once inside, dive deep into the mountain's center. As you land on the rubble, you'll find Kotetsu, the Fighting-type specialist of the Kitakami Ogre Clan in the same cavern.

Conkeldurr
(Lv. 76) Held Item: Payapa Berry |
Gallade
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Kommo-o
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Throat Spray |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
A solid special attacking Fairy-type should do well against Kotetsu's Fighting-type team. The only real threat to worry about here is Kommo-o who starts off with Clangorous Soul, which in tandem with its held item Throat Spray, boosts a lot of its stats in one turn. Take care of it before it overwhelms you!
Fly to The Crystal Pool on Oni Mountain's Peak. From there, glide northwest, towards Infernal Pass. Between two large rock faces, you'll spot a small body of water where Kunitsuna, the Ice-type specialist, can be found.

---|---|---|---|
Carbink
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Froslass
(Lv. 76) Held Item: Focus Sash |
Golem
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Mamoswine
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Passho Berry |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
Despite being an ice-type specialist, Kunitsuna actually starts with the Rock/Fairy-type Carbink. It will set up Stealth Rocks deterring any Fire-types you may want to use. It's Froslass can also be a pain to deal with once it gets its evasiveness up with Snow Cloak. It also has a Focus Sash. Other than that, Golem and Mamoswine should be easy enough to deal with, but be wary about how they can be deceptively bulkier than you might think.
From the Fly Destination on Paradise Barrens, head northeast to the valley between the two c-shaped rock formations. You should find Kanemitsu resting in the shade of a large rock.

Ninetales
(Lv. 75) Held Item: Heat Rock |
Shiftry
(Lv. 76) Held Item: None |
Chandelure
(Lv. 76) Held Item: None |
Lilligant
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Coba Berry |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
Kanemitsu runs an offensive sun-team. She leads off with a Ninetales to bring up the sun with Drought, allowing Shiftry to come in with a Chlorophyll-boosted Explosion
Hasebe can be found just by the sign for The Fallen Horn, in the Fellhorn Gorge.

Politoed
(Lv. 75) Held Item: Damp Rock |
Basculegion (Male)
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Wacan Berry |
Ludicolo
(Lv. 76) Held Item: None |
Drednaw
(Lv. 77) Held Item: None |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
Hasebe starts off with the Rain-team staple Politoed who sets up the rain with its Drizzle. This makes each of its team member's Water-type moves hurt a lot more. Take particular care of Ludicolo and Drednaw who both seem to have Swift Swim allowing to hit fast and hard.
Munechika can be found standing precariously atop the northeast section of Infernal Pass. You can get to him easily by gliding northeast from Crystal Pool's fast travel point.
Munechika's Team | |||
---|---|---|---|
Ambipom
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Greedent
(Lv. 76) Held Item: Figy Berry |
Maushold
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Snorlax
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Leftovers |
Levels are based on battling them after the Base Game's completion
Munechika's team can easily overwhelm an unprepared team. It takes advantage of Normal-types only having one weakness, while also loading the team up with bulky Normal types with recovery options. These include Greedent with a Figy Berry in conjuction with Cheek Pouch, and Snorlax with Leftovers. That being said, bringing a strong Fighting-type should help you knock them out in no time.
After defeating all 7 Ogre Clan Members, return to the NPC in Kitakami Hall that gives you rewards for defeating the Ogre Clan. He will reveal that there is actually one more Ogre Clan member to defeat, himself!

(Lv. 76) Held Item: None |
Crawdaunt
(Lv. 75) Held Item: None |
Dusclops
(Lv. 77) Held Item: Eviolite |
Kingambit
(Lv. 80) Held Item: Chople Berry |
He'll face you with a Ghost/Dark-type team that is slightly harder to beat than the rest of the members.
Notable Pokemon to watch out for are Dusclops with its Eviolite and Kingambit benefitting from Supreme Overlord.
Near Kitakami Hall's fast travel point, there's an NPC in black clothes that talks about the Kitakami Ogre Clan. He lets you know that the Ogre Clan members have been popping up around Kitakami challenging trainers.
He will reward you with items used for competitive battling when you defeat all Ogre Clan members.

4 | Rare Candy x10 |

The Kitakami Ogre Clan is composed of 8 Skilled Battlers that can be found across Kitakami. Defeating this challenging group of trainers nets you several item rewards that can help you build your own competitive teams.
They are characterized by their dark text boxes and how they wear the same teal mask that Ogerpon wears. Each trainer also employs intermediate-level strategies such as those that involve terrain or weather.
