It also features notable VGC-relevant Pokemon, who are all popular in competitive play.
Physical Attacker | Physical Attacker |
---|---|
Landorus (Therian Forme) | Gyarados |
Special Attacker | Special Attacker |
Flutter Mane | Chi-Yu |
Landorus and Gyarados can both spam Earthquake next to each other, dealing good damage to both opposing Pokemon unless they have Wide Guard.
Landorus can also use Rock Slide against opposing Flying-types, who would be immune to Earthquake.
Flutter Mane and Chi-Yu can also spam spread moves next to each other, with Dazzling Gleam and Heat Wave respectively.
Pokemon | Explanation |
---|---|

The Pokemon in this team can all be found in the Polar Biome that don't require Egg Moves, with moves that the Pokemon can naturally learn or with TMs. This team can be used in Drayton's Elite Trial, as well as the rest of The Indigo Disk DLC.
The team primarily consists of attackers that you can send out and go offensive with minimal effort.
Physical Attacker | Special Attacker |
---|---|
Excadrill | Heat Rotom |
Special Attacker | Special Attacker |
Lapras | Archaludon |
Excadrill and Heat Rotom are powerful leads to have as they can both click their spread attacks without fear of damaging its partner. Earthquake can damage both foes, and leave Heat Rotom unharmed because of its Levitate Ability, while Heat Rotom's Disharge will not affect Excadrill because of its Ground typing.
Clicking these moves will often result in quick victories, as this strategy can mow through most teams in Blueberry Academy in a few turns, with few exceptions such as Amarys' Focus Sash Alolan Dugtrio + Sturdy Skarmory combo.
Lapras and Archaludon are reliable and powerful Pokemon to have at the back as they have great bulk and are able to hit a variety of types for neutral or super-effective damage.
Pokemon | Explanation |
---|---|
Armarouge | Special Attacker ・Effective Trick Room Setter. ・Powerful Trick Room Attacker. ・Makes use of Indeedee's Psychic Terrain to boost the power of Expanding Force. |
Charizard | Special Attacker ・Fast and powerful. ・Effective late-game anchor. |
Flutter Mane | Special Attacker ・Fast and powerful Special Attacker. ・Can use powerful Fairy-type Attacks. |
Indeedee (Female) | Support ・Can support its team with Follow Me and Helping Hand. ・Can protect its team from Priority Moves with its Psychic Surge. |
Hisuian Lilligant | Physical Attacker ・Can deal respectable damage with Close Combat. ・Can be disruptive with Sleep Powder. ・Can allow Torkoal to quickly use Eruption with After You. |
Torkoal | Special Attacker ・Powerful Trick Room Attacker. ・Difficult to cleanly KO because of natural bulk. ・Provides Sun for the team's Fire-type Attackers. |
This team is a rough recreation of ColdingLight's Regulation D Trick Room and Sun team with the same Pokemon but with different EV spreads.
It is able to make use of both Trick Room and Sun, giving the Pokemon on the team Speed advantage and offensive boosts to their Fire-type Attacks.
The team does not run Protect at all so careful decision making is crucial for piloting this team.
Special Attacker | Support / Special Attacker |
---|---|
Armarouge | Indeedee (Female) |
Special Attacker | Special Attacker |
Charizard | Torkoal |
This team can set up Trick Room with minimal effort, and allow Pokemon like Armarouge and Torkoal to sweep. Indeedee and Torkoal can be switched in and out to ensure that Terrain and Weather are always in your favor, while Charizard with its Choice Scarf can ensure knock outs late-game.
Pokemon | Explanation |
---|---|
Basculegion (Male) | Physical Attacker ・Potent physical attacker. ・Difficult to outspeed in Rain. ・Is immune to Fake Out. |
Flutter Mane | Special Attacker ・Fast and powerful Special Attacker. ・Can use powerful Fairy-type Attacks. |
Pelipper | Support ・Consistent Rain setter. ・Provides Tailwind Support. |
Thundurus (Therian Forme) | Special Attacker ・Gives the team a switch-in to Electric-type Attacks. ・Strong and reliable Special Attacker. |
Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) | Support ・Can support its team with Tailwind and Rain Dance, and shut down setup strategies with Taunt. ・Can deal decent damage with Bleakwind Storm. |
Urshifu Rapid-Strike Style | Physical Attacker ・Can take full advantage of Tailwind and Rain. ・Powerful signature move, Surging Strikes, always scores critical hits. |
This team focuses on Rain Hyper Offense, with many strategies and synergies depending on Rain. It focuses to hit hard and fast, and score quick knock outs, closing out games quickly.
Physical Attacker | Support / Special Attacker |
---|---|
Basculegion (Male) | Pelipper |
Special Attacker | Special Attacker |
Thundurus (Therian Forme) | Urshifu Rapid-Strike Style |
Basculegion can run away with games if its Rain is not contested by opposing weather. Pelipper can provide weather dominance for Basculegion and Urshifu, while Thundurus works as a reliable switch-in to Electric-type attacks for the rest of the team who are weak to Electric,
Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) |
Amoonguss |
Kingambit |
Incineroar |
Tornadus can handily Taunt Trick Room Setters and deny Trick Room from going up. Kingambit is able to deal big damage to the usual Trick Room Setters, as they are often Psychic or Ghost-types who are weak to Dark.
Incineroar can Intimidate and pivot out of the active position for a more suitable Pokemon to the matchup.
And lastly, Amoonguss can outspeed most Pokemon in Trick Room and put all its opponents to sleep with Spore.
Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) |
Pelipper |
Torkoal |
Altaria |
It is often a good idea to have a Weather Setter on your team so that it does not struggle against teams with potent weather synergies. Weather Setters such as Pelipper, Torkoal, or even Tyranitar are great to have, and building teams around them often result in teams with great synergy.
Altaria can be slotted into teams, to invalidate Weather entirely with its Cloud Nine Ability.
Tornadus is always a great addition to these teams because of its ability to quickly set weather with Prankster.
Glimmora |
Maushold |
Great Tusk |
Hisuian Braviary |
Some Pokemon have access to moves that can remove pesky entry hazards. Moves such as Mortal Spin, Tidy Up, Rapid Spin, and Defog are useful to have if you want your team to have a better matchup against teams that set up Entry Hazards.
List of Moves that Remove Entry Hazards
Smeargle is an excellent Pokemon for catching Wild Pokemon thanks to its ability to learn most Moves in the game. It can be taught Spore and False Swipe.
Though its offensive stats are not that great, with a high enough level advantage, Smeargle can be a reliable Pokemon to help you catch Wild Pokemon.
Smeargle Location and Evolution
Gholdengo is the best Pokemon to use if you want to earn more money. Its signature move Make It Rain gives money equal to 10x Gholdengo's current level every time it is used. You'll be able to receive the money at the end of the battle.
It's best to use Gholdengo for trainer battles. Make it hold the Amulet Coin item to increase the monetary rewards from these trainer battles. Combined with your Make It Rain earnings, you should have no problem earning enough money to use in the DLC.
Money Farming Guide: How to Make Money Fast
Iron Hands is the best Pokemon for Tera Raids because of its access to Belly Drum and a reliable recovery option in Drain Punch.
Iron Hands is generally a good option for Tera Raids, unless you are up against Pokemon that Iron Hands matches up unfavorably against, such as Psychic, Ground, or Fairy-type Pokemon.

I feel like people aren’t giving enough attention to the power house of a fire Tera type Terastallized, full health Typhlosion holding a Charcoal and using the move Eruption in a double battle with allies using support moves to increase the power of the attack that can just right from turn one start sweeping without needing any setup.
