Climbing Koraidon - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV

Koraidon is added to the party as a mount once you're near the Poco Path Lighthouse in the beginning of the game, following the "how to catch pokemon" tutorial.

You will meet Koraidon if you're playing Pokemon Scarlet, while you will meet Miraidon instead if you're playing Pokemon Violet.

Finish the Game to Get Koraidon as a Party Pokemon

To get Koraidon as a Pokemon in your party, you will have to complete the game.

After beating the game and if you have room for Koraidon in your party, simply press the X Button to bring up the menu, and you will be prompted whether or not you want to use the Pokemon in Battle Form.

Note that if you press the Plus (+) button to ride Koraidon, it will be removed from your party. So be sure to open the menu to see if Miraidon is part of your party before starting a battle.

Catch the Second Koraidon in Area Zero After Completing the Game

You can also encounter and catch the second Koraidon in The Great Crater of Paldea (Area Zero) after completing the game.

You'll need to head to the bottommost part of Area Zero and follow the road leading to a ledge where you can find Koraidon on top of it.

How to Get the Second Koraidon/Miraidon

Koraidon is Exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet

You can only get both Koraidon and the Second Koraidon if you're playing Pokemon Scarlet.

If you're playing Pokemon Violet, then you'll have Miraidon instead. We recommend trading your Second Miraidon with a friend who owns Pokemon Scarlet so you can complete your Pokedex.
