No Gender Restrictions on Clothing or Hair

Unlike previous games where the choices of clothing was limited to the player's gender, in Scarlet and Violet, any player can wear any clothing or choose any hairstyle regardless of gender.

Salon Hairstyles Don't Work with Hats

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Incompatible Hat Hairstyle

Sad news for cap and hats enthusiasts! Hairstyles from the Hair Salon are not compatible with hats, and you can't wear them. The hairdresser will place your cap back in your bag after finishing the hairstyle.

To change your character's hairstyle, you'll need to head to a Hair Salon. Hair Salons can be found in 3 of Paldea's cities - Mesagoza, Cascarrafa, and Levincia. You can spot a hair salon by the spinning barber pole by the window. Hairstyles cost 3000 Pokedollars.

I wish they let you just design your own style. Having presets is fine and all but some more customization from there would be nice.
