Close Combat and Raging Bull are Paldean Tauros' main STAB Moves, with Close Combat being able to apply solid burst damage, and Raging Bull being able to break Screens.
Will-O-Wisp is an important part of the set as it allows Paldean Tauros to stop Physical Attackers from contributing to a match. Protect keeps Paldean Tauros from getting double-targeted if the opponent identifies it as a threat.
Safety Goggles allows Paldean Tauros to completely ignore Amoonguss and protect it from Lilligant's Sleep Powder.
Flare Blitz | Flare Blitz gives Paldean Tauros an even more powerful STAB Fire Move at the cost of some recoil damage. |

Paldean Tauros is able to take Physical Attackers out of the match by burning them with Will-O-Wisp. This is useful for occasionally neutralizing an opponent's Tera and rendering their Physical Attackers ineffective.
Gholdengo players may terastallize their Gholdengo into Steel out of fear of getting KOd by Meowscarada. Paldean Tauros can outspeed it, and KO with a Fire-type Move.
Kingambit may also find itself in a difficult spot if it has to go up against Paldean Tauros, as it will be in danger of taking a super-effective Close Combat or Raging Bull.
Paldean Tauros appreciates teammates that can switch into Water and Ground-type Moves. It is also good for it to be with Electric-type Pokemon who can threaten Water and Flying-types.

Wash Rotom | Gholdengo |
Gholdengo's presence in Team Preview may lead opponents to send out Garchomp, knowing that they can ignore Paldean Tauros' Intimidate with their Clear Amulet. Meowscarada, when equipped with Choice Band, can easily KO Garchomp with Flower Trick or threaten huge damage on Dondozo. Meowscarada can also threaten opposing Gholdengo with Knock Off if your opponent leads with it.
Paldean Tauros can also spread burns through Will-O-Wisp on opposing Physical Attackers like Dragonite, as well as outright knocking out opposing Gholdengo.
Wash Rotom works as a good switch-in to Water and Ground-type Moves that Gholdengo and Paldean Tauros doesn't appreciate. Lastly, Gholdengo rounds out the team as it can switch in defensively for Paldean Tauros on Moves that aren't Ground-type.
Ceruledge can completely ignore Paldean Tauros when it is on the field. Water-types also have an easy time playing around Paldean Tauros. Use these Pokemon to soak up damage and gain good positioning in a match.
