The best Ability for Meowscarada is Protean which changes its type based on the move it first uses.
We also recommend getting a Grass Tera Type for Meowscarada to further boost the damage of its Grass-type moves. As a physical attacker, an Adamant Nature ensures it hits as hard as possible with its physical moves.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your HP and Attack to give it as much bulk and physical offense as possible while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense.
Giving it a Shell Bell ensures that Meowscarada gets passive healing when it deals damage.
Meowscarada Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Flower Trick to activate Protean and become a pure Grass-type. |
Turn 2 | Use Double Team to raise Meowscarada's evasiveness. |
Turns 3~4 | Use Flower Trick to gain enough Tera Charge. |
Optional | Use Grassy Terrain to boost Flower Trick's damage. |
Turns 5+ | Terastallize into a Grass-type and use Flower Trick to deal damage. Use Hone Claws to increase your Attack, allowing you to defeat the Raid Boss faster. |
Start the Tera Raid battle by using Flower Trick to get rid of Meowscarada's Dark typing. Next, use Double Team to raise Meowscarada's evasiveness.
Before Terastallizing, you can use Grassy Terrain to provide passive healing. This move also boosts the power of Meowscarada and its partners Grass-type moves by 30%.
After Terastallizing, use Hone Claws in between Flower Tricks to boost Meowscarada's Attack.

This Meowscarada Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Water, Ground and Rock Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Fire, Flying or Bug Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Meowscarada will be weak to these Types as a Grass Type attacker.

Meowscarada's moveset focuses on getting the most out of Meowscarada's Grass typing, utilizing both physical and special moves.
Flower Trick's 100% chance of hitting and scoring a critical hit make it useful if Meowscarada has its stats lowered, while Giga Drain will allow you to stay healthy while dealing damage. Although Leaf Storm's drawbacks prevent you from using it liberally, its high base power makes it a great choice regardless. Grassy Terrain will not only boost the power of all of your moves but also provide a healing option for both you and your allies.

Meowscarada |
Meowscarada is the final evolution of Sprigatito, which is one of the 3 starter Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. Choosing Sprigatito as your starter will guarantee you a Meowscarada as long as you level it up.
Unfortunately, Meowscarada does not appear in the wild, so if you chose Quaxly or Fuecoco as your starter, you will have to acquire a Meowscarada by trading with other players.
If it has a different nature, you can use a Rash Mint to change its nature to Rash.
You can also give Meowscarada an Adamant Mint if you are building the Physical Protean build.
The easiest way to get this is by buying them from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 Protein (for Atk), 26 Calcium (for Sp. Atk), and 1 Hp UP (for HP) for the Mixed Attacker Build, or 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Protein (for Atk), and 1 Zinc (for Sp. Def) for the Physical Protean Build.
All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.

Why use Leaf Storm over Foul Play? Sure Foul Play doesn't get boosted by the Tera boost but it gives some type coverage and uses Meowscarada's second type for stab. Foul Play also don't lower SpAtk on use
