・ Flash Cannon ・ Body Press ・ Stealth Rock |
Duraludon gets a new evolution, which means that it can now hold an Eviolite. Has a good offensive coverage spread. Can now Terastallize to get rid of its common weaknesses. |
Ability | Held Item | |
---|---|---|
Light Metal | Eviolite |
The Ability chosen for this build is Light Metal. This makes Duraludon take less damage from weight-based moves like Low Kick.
The item chosen for this build is Eviolite. With Duraludon now being able to evolve into Archaludon, it can now use Eviolite to boost its already amazing defensive stats by +50%.
Draco Meteor | Flash Cannon |
Body Press | Stealth Rock |
Draco Meteor is its strongest Dragon-type STAB move. The main downsides are that it only has 90% accuracy and it reduces Duraludon's Sp. Atk by two stages when used.
Flash Cannon is Duraludon's best and most consistent Steel-type STAB move.
Body Press utilizes Duraludon's Eviolite boosted Defense stat as a strong Fighting-ty[e coverage move.
Stealth Rock allows Duraludon to act as a bulky hazards lead for its team instead of a purely offensive attacker.

(2x) | ||
Damaged Normally By: |
(1x) | |
Resists: | (0.5x) | |

Flying is the best Tera Type for this build because it turns Duraludon's Fighting weakness into a resist and its Ground weakness into an immunity.
Best Flying Type Pokemon for Ranked Battle
A full 252 EVs are put into Duraludon's HP and Sp. Atk to make it bulky while still being able to hit hard. The extra 4 EVs are placed in its Sp. Def to help round out its bulk.
A Modest nature is preferred to further increase Duraludon's damage output.
Dragon Pulse | A weaker Dragon-type STAB move with no downsides. |
---|---|
Thunderbolt | Gives Duraludon even more coverage options. |
Tera Blast | Helps Duraludon deal with Fighting-types that it's weak to once it Terastallizes. |

Ability | Held Item | |
---|---|---|
Heavy Metal | Eviolite |
The Ability chosen for this build is Heavy Metal. This makes Duraludon's Heavy Slam deal more damage, allowing it to score decisive KOs on Fairy-types such as Flutter Manes that are uninvested in physical bulk.
The item chosen for this build is Eviolite. With Duraludon now being able to evolve into Archaludon, it can now use Eviolite to boost its already amazing defensive stats by +50%.

Best Flying Type Pokemon for Ranked Battle
A full 252 EVs are put into Duraludon's HP and Sp. Def to make it as specially bulky as possible, considering that its Special Defense is rather lackluster. The remaining 4 EVs are put into Duraludon's defense, to allow it to better take physical hits.
A Careful nature is preferred to maximize Duraludon's Special Defense.
Tera Blast | Helps Duraludon deal with Fighting-types that it's weak to once it Terastallizes. |
---|
Even before Archaludon was introduced, Duraludon already had amazing defensive stats. Now that it has access to Eviolite, Duraludon now becomes a very flexible Pokemon that can be used as both an offensive and defensive pivot without an Assault Vest.
Use Duraludon to soak up hits for teammates who would normally be threatened by a super-effective hit.
Hazards Lead | Physical Attacker | Physical Attacker |
---|---|---|
Duraludon | Urshifu Rapid-Strike Style | Ogerpon (Hearthflame Mask) |
Urshifu Rapid-Strike and Hearthflame Ogerpon have both of their common weaknesses covered by Duraludon. They also both have access to U-Turn, which they can use to pivot out into Duraludon.
Support | Physical Tank |
---|---|
Grimmsnarl | Duraludon |
Support / Physical Attacker | Support / Disruption |
Incineroar | Amoonguss |
Grimmsnarl is an excellent partner for any Pokemon with Iron Defense Body Press in their toolkits, as its dual screens can effectively mitigate damage that your team receives.
Incineroar is good to lead with alongside Duraludon if you are not leading with Grimmsnarl, giving Duraludon Intimidate support, and allowing another attacker to switch in and go on the offensive.
Amoonguss can handily redirect Fighting-type attacks away from all Duraludon and Incineroar and can also discourage or stop opponents from setting up Trick Room, as the threat of Spore is an effective deterrent.
