Summary

Hisuian Zoroark's Ghost and Normal dual-typing gives it immunity to a raid boss' likely Ghost Tera STAB move as well as a potential Fighting coverage move! On top of this, Hisuian Zoroark can reduce incoming damage of the raid boss' likely Special Attack moves with Snarl.

Hisuian Zoroark's high STAB super-effective damage output, combined with status buffing and debuffing moves, along with its great typing is sure to make it an excellent solo counter against the Raid Boss.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Hisuian Zoroark with a Ghost Tera Type to further boost the power of its Ghost-type moves. As a special attacker, a Modest Nature is best to ensure that its special attacks hit as hard as possible.

Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your HP and Special Attack EVs to give it as much bulk and special offense as possible while adding the remaining EVs into Defense.

Giving Hisuian Zoroark Shell Bell ensures that it recovers health while dealing damage.

Tera Raid Strategy

Typhlosion Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Snarl to lower the Raid Boss' Special Attack stat.
Turns 4~6 Use Fake Tears to lower the Raid Boss' Special Defense stat by 6 stages.
Turn 7 Terastallize and Use Shadow Ball to deal damage, and heal thanks to Shell Bell.
Turns 8+ Alternate between Nasty Plot and Shadow Ball to boost your Special Attack to deal more damage, and healing thanks to Shell Bell.

This Hisuian Zoroark Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Psychic and Ghost Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Dark Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Hisuian Zoroark will be weak to this type before terastallizing, and will become weak to both Ghost and Dark after.

Hisuian Zoroark's only Ability is Illusion, which causes it to enter the battle disguised as the last non-fainted Pokemon in the party.

This Ability, however, has no effect in Tera Raids as Hisuian Zoroark will enter the raid as itself instead of disguised as another Pokemon.
