Summary

Pokeball Icon Cannot be burned thanks to its Fire-typing.

Pokeball Icon With proper support, Camerupt can easily OHKO any Raid Boss weak to Fire or Ground.

The best ability for Camerupt in this build is Anger Point. This will boost Camerupt's Attack stat to +6 whenever it is hit by a critical hit.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Camerupt with a Fire or Ground Tera Type to further increase the damage of its STAB moves. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

For Tera Raids, EV spreads should lean towards HP and Attack. Max out your HP and Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Speed. Give it a Choice Band to maximize the damage dealt by its physical attacks.

EV Spread Explanation

For Tera Raids, EV spreads should lean towards HP and Special Attack. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Speed. Give it a Shell Bell so that it can heal itself whenever it uses an attacking move.

Tera Raid Strategy

Camerupt Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turn 1 Use Sunny Day to set up the harsh sunlight.
Turns 2~4 Use Growth until Camerupt's Sp. Atk is at +6.
Turns 5+ Use your STAB attacks until the Raid is beaten. Remember to Terastallize when possible.
Low HP Turns Use a Heal Cheer or an attack to heal with Camerupt's Shell Bell.

Start off by using Sunny Day so that Camerupt will get a +2 Sp. Atk boost whenever it uses Growth.

Once it is fully set up, use either Flamethrower or Earth Power until the Raid Boss has been defeated. Do not forget to Terastallize once your Tera Orb is fully charged.
