Roll the giant olive in the Olive Roll Challenge to pass the Cortondo Gym Test and face Katy, the Bug-type Gym Leader in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Read on for more information about this Gym Test, along with some tips and strategies that you can do during the challenge!

| 1 |  Talk to the Gym Staff to start the challenge. |

| 2 |  Go out of the Gym and head northwest. Look for a fenced field near the edge of Cortondo. |
| 3 |  Talk to the Gym Staff outside the field to start the Gym Test. The Gym Staff will explain the details; you need to roll a giant olive ball from one point of the field to the end goal on the other side. |
| 4 |  Push the olive ball across the maze and into the goal. The goal is located on the other end of the field. You need to navigate through the fences and ramps to reach it. |
Take note that you do not need to stay within the route to get to the goal and you can push the olive above the ramps set across the field.
Aim to roll the olive over the first ramp that you'll encounter after the initial stretch. This way, you can save time and get to the goal quickly.
Two trainers, blocking access to certain paths, will be waiting for you in the field. You cannot roll the olive ball over them as you need to defeat them in battle in order to gain access to the shortcuts they are blocking.
It is recommended to battle the trainer near the goal so you don't have to push the olive all the way to the other side of the field and instead get the shortcut that leads straight to the goal.
You do not need to battle either of them as they are optional interactions, but if you feel that your team needs some training, you can challenge them for some experience points.
