Ways to Get Feathers

Look for Feathers At Casseroya Lake

Overworld Location Location on the Map

Go to Casseroya Lake and ride on Miraidon/Koraidon in the waters south of the island where you would encounter the False Dragon Titan.

Here, you'll find shining items in the water that are random feathers. The feathers spawn frequently enough that you can ride around the water and have a good amount of most feather types in your bag.

But remember that you'll first need to have Koraidon/Miraidon's Aquatic Mode to be able to swim around Casseroya Lake, so defeat the Open Sky Titan to unlock the ride upgrade.

Buy Feathers At Porto Marinada Auctions

Feathers at Porto Marinada - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

Sometimes, vendors at Porto Marinada will put different kinds of feathers on auction, so join in and outbid NPCs for them.

The advantage of buying feathers through the auctions is that they are sold in bulk, though you'll have to visit Porto Marinada often to see if the feather you want is up on the auction block.

To unlock auctions at Porto Marinada, you'll need to defeat the Cascarrafa City Gym Leader Kofu first.

How to Win Porto Marinada Auctions

Win Feathers From Tera Raids

Feathers as Tera Raid Rewards - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

No. of Tera Raid Stars No. of Feathers Obtained
1 Stars 1 piece
2 Stars 1 piece
3 Stars 1 - 3 pieces
4 Stars 1 - 3 pieces
5 Stars 2 - 5 pieces
6 Stars 2 - 5 pieces

You can also get feathers as rewards from Tera Raids. The amount of feathers you get depends on how many stars the Tera Raid has.

However, the kinds of feathers you get are random, so farming feathers this way is inefficient at best. We recommend using Tera Raids to farm Exp. Candies to level up your Pokemon fast instead.

How to Use Feathers

Fine-Tune a Pokemon's EVs

Feathers - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

You can only allocate 510 EVs to any of your Pokemon's stats, with a maximum of 252 EVs per stat. So you will need to be careful about what stats to put your Pokemon's EVs into when you're EV training them.

Using Vitamins adds 10 EVs to a single stat, while using Feathers adds 1 EV to a stat. If you don't want to allocate too many EVs into a stat, use Feathers instead until you get to your desired number of EVs.

How to EV Train Fast

Raise Pokemon Friendship Levels

Feathers also have the added benefit of increasing your Friendship Levels with the Pokemon you used them on.

But there are other more efficient ways to increase Friendship Levels like feeding them EV-Reducing Berries or simply letting them walk with you in Let's Go! mode, so don't use feathers just to raise your Pokemon's friendship levels.
